It is a small update with those things you mention. I think they are still working on a much bigger update. Support of eMMC storage will be included, I believe.

Thanks SIW2, maybe you know what exactly changed with GPT/UEFI?

Didn't you sort of have your own thread on the Aomei support board? I haven't read it yet, but recall seeing you there, is that right?

SIW2, I was reading some of your "stuff" on the Aomei discussion board, very interesting!
Thanks also for pointing out that only a very minimal amount of reg settings are necesssary...
I have now compared the driver files (ambakdrv, ammntdrv, amwrtdrv) and noticed they haven't changed at all...
So I can pretty much run the new 2.0.1 files "portable" from my existing 8.1SE.
Now I only need a GPT/UEFI system to test what's new in 2.0.1!!! (Or one of you guys please test it on a new system!)

I haven't got an efi system to test.

There is now the lang folder for BU (Backupper), so they would appreciate translations, I am sure. They won't need Chinese, anything else would be useful.

I was putting PA ( Partition Assistant ) and BU in the same folder before in simple pe. Now I will need to separate them as they both have "lang" folders.

Aah, you too, eh?

Well, I guess there's OliverJia with his GPT/UEFI system, but I think he's had enough of Aomei for a while
I'm sure I'll get a chance to test it someday, until then I guess other reviews/ tests will come up here or there.
Thanks SIW2!

After some test, It seems that the issue of the expiration warning is related to the folder which must be writable.
I just retested Aeolis plugin and I do not really know what I did in my previous tests  :embarrassed: but I must say that the Aeolis plugin works fine also on a non-Writable Media
It seems that Aeolis found the needed registry key to avoid the annoying "Trial Expiration Notice" on Read-Only Media (CD/DVD). I'll add this key in mine.
I probably did not have the latest plugin version. I don't know. Sorry for the confusion I wrote, Aeolis. keep up the good work

For my part, I keep the starter, however, for copying, renaming: LoadDrv, X.exe, vss, X.dll, vsscom, X.exe Following OS and OS Arch at runtime.
With the copy for that of Aomei Backupper folder in RAM if the drive is not writable (CD/DVD,VM).
It allows to have the same folder for XP,Win7,8 PE and x86,x64 for multi-boot CD/USB.
On Writable media (USB), there is no copy in RAM.
It Load Drivers (LoadDrv.exe) and then run Backupper.exe.
After closing, it deletes the copied folder in RAM, if previously copied, to save space.
I post this second plugin in another topic.

So we have now two functional plugins deserved for this great Free software :great:
AOMEI Backupper is user friendly and easy to use with all needed features, it is lightweight and fast and seems very reliable.
