Hello, I want to report a bug.

Everytime I change FBWF cache size, it is stuck to 494MB. Not more or less.
I tried 128MB, 256MB and 512MB. Still 494MB.

I suppose Windows 8.1's way to save FBWF cache size has changed from Windows 8......

You are right, I have read somewhere that now  the cache threshold is forced to 512MB if the machine RAM is 1GB or more
The solution is to use FBWF files from 8.0, they  work as always.

I tested Win8.1SE with 1.2G, 1.5G on VMware, and 4G on physical computer. Maybe that's why I couldn't see FBWF size changed.

I had been hoping FBWF cache size could be set by percent of free ram, like Imdisk.
Maybe there is other solution rather than using FBWF files of 8.0.
If new windows which we can't use FBWF files of 8.0, than we are stuck.

Oops, error in my words.

If new windows which we can't use FBWF files of 8.0 -> If new windows are released which we can't use FBWF files of 8.0

Hi ied206, Oscar,

I answered yesterday on another toipic
http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=816.msg10545#msg10545 post #3

Windows Embedded Standard 8 fbwf driver is used now. It is also possible to select 768 Mb and 1024 Mb now.
I tried a new build with many apps script added, and I have no more problem of BSOD "cache_manager" , for now at least

As usual, the updates are on the server, before a new package.
