USB stick is offline due to some Administrator policies?

Hi,

In spite of adding drivers for mass storage, the attached USB device was not detected in Win8.1SE environment which was up from a USB flash disk.
I checked the Disk Management and saw that the disk was detected and shown in that program, but was offline. The cursor hovering on the USB disk showed a message like "Disk is offline because of an administrator policy". What is the matter? I really need to access my second flash disk.

I have selected the option of "do not mount internal disks" in Final Settings, but I meant to just block access to the internal disks not the attached mass storage. How could we save a document generated there inside the Win8.1SE Live environment or downloaded from the network to our flash disk?

What kind of USB disk you are using ?. "USB fixed disk" will be treated similar to an HDD. You should use "Removable" type of disk.

I used Removable types; here, a PATRIOT Cool Disk of of RAGE type or KINGMAX flash disk. Whatever policy applies as natural  , I want to keep access to external removable flash disks meanwhile banning the user from accessing internal disks.

If you are sure that the USB disk is reported as "Removable" in Windows Disk Management", i would also recommend trying "MSPE" as Lancelot suggested in previous post.

Usually it will take care of adding letters to USB disks which doesn't have a letter.

I tried with the settings recommended by 'anshad' and 'Lancelot'. I selected 'MyUSBEjector' as Hot Swap Tool. The only thing that changed after building the image, was the MountStorPE application running as a tray icon. Disk Management showed all the fixed and Removable disks as offline. What could happen then?

"Disk is offline because of an administrator policy", with the setting you enabled,
is a feature of windows since ! (at least I know since Win 2003) to protect system from things of automounted disks.

Well I understand you only want to automount flash but not fixed, but ms seems not to think that way ;)

MSPE as third party could not override this security feature, I learn something new...

try other things to override this security feature, some ideas:
*
try a MSPE alternative (even one work, I suspect they would have a -usb switch, try to find if there is one that suits your needs and able to override policy...)
*
with a startup batch
+ disable policy after boot (reg.exe ...)
+ than start mountvol with mentioned switches
maybe works ....

be creative and stubborn, let us know when you figure out 
 a lot features inside projects comes from such feedbacks

I managed to manually make the internal (fixed) disks offline. This was done by using DISKPART tool and its "online disk" command for the selected fixed disk. It means you make all disks online and then try to make them offline except for just your removable disk. Maybe this can be done via a script injected to DISKPART during boot time. But, all these efforts would be absurd when there is only one account (Administrator') in system which allows the fully-privileged user to counteract your commands by some opposite instructions  . You cannot manage your accounts in Windows Emergency  .

The only more probable solution for me is to first have the possibility to block the access to the 'Administrator' account and permit the user to just be able to enter with his/her provided limited account. This is the question I had made some days ago in 'http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=1162.0' topic.

Is it possible to do user account management in other ilks of Windows Emergency (I use Win8.1SE) ? or they are similar in this regard?
Any idea around my above solution?
