Select "edit" above small green play button on interface
select "Interface Editor" tab
Select existing image / or / "ADD.. " Image
select Load.. point to your image
Resize to fit..

Best to first edit "Size" of Image with "Paint" to a max pixel width of 400

Thanks James, You hid my solution in plain sight.

Any good threads on creating a plugin? I am working through it but stumble more often then I would like.
