hi all guys

I have tried several times to build, from scratch, and even after using the script "exact and secure".
I've always had the same result.
The final project work, except of course for the external hard drive usb3.0.
Thank you for your hard work

I downloaded manually devcon.exe and I put it in the tools folder.

Hope this helps.

In your log, devcon.exe does not seem to be downloaded by GetWaikTools.
The other tools, imagex, wimgapi,.. are alredy here, before building, no need to downloaded them.

What happens if you launch (Win+R):
Code: [Select]
F:\8.1SEwinbuilder\Workbench\Common\GetWaikTools\GetWaikTools.exe -devcon
Is that devcon.exe is successfully downloaded in "...Workbench\Common\GetWaikTools\Devcon\amd64" and in "....devcon\x86" folders

In the plugin, it is done with :
Code: [Select]
F:\8.1SEwinbuilder\Workbench\Common\GetWaikTools\GetWaikTools.exe -devcon -silent
and, in your case, devcon.exe is not found then in Workbench\Common\GetWaikTools\Devcon\amd64 to be copied to the tools folder.

So just to be clear, USB 3.0 with an external HD is working OK for you?
I don't have USB3 to test myself, but I know Oliverjia is having problems with this.
It would be nice if he could get it working as well, but maybe he's stuck on adding the drivers.

So my question to you: Everything working A-OK with external HD (USB3) now?

I tested same ISO, booting my pc from a YUMI-maked pendrive (GRUB)
external HD USB3.0 is mounted and working properly
only a warning on desktop (something on a CD-Y, I don't have much time now)

Not that great, the warning. Shortcuts to Y:\xxxx are not created if the drive Y: is not mounted at startup.
Does your external HDD USB3.0 is visible in explorer once started.
I do not know how to fix it and you're not alone in this case. Here it works with my WD USB3.
To avoid trouble, you can select "Run ALL programs from RAM" in "CdDrive - X: - Y:" plugin.

For when you will have free time, it would be good :
To know if the drive Y is visible in Explorer once started ?
If it is the case, it may be good to test with MountPEmedia 1.4.6:
In the loop to wait that the CD/USB drive be assigned by windows, I added "devcon.exe disable USB\ROOT_HUB30" and "devcon.exe enable USB\ROOT_HUB30", as in RenewUSB3.
    * CDDrive_X_Y_20.7z (729.95 kB - downloaded 150 times.)

To try with a different USB port or in another PC.
To try with the USB3 manufacturer driver, using driver integration plugin.
Any help is welcome !!!

I am sorry for the delay
I used the same system as before in real pc (same ISO, no errors nor warnings)
my WD USB3.0 HDD is mounted and running
the disk Y: is not visible
Opera also has disappeared

I would be very happy if I could help
explain in a simple way what can I do for you

I do not really have any ideas, saw the result of your 2nd test (assigned at startup and then lost!!!) vs the 1st one (warning=not recognized at startup).
My WD passport USB3.0 HDD works well, it has been tested on several machines.
I have two partitions on it, one in FAT32 with PE(s) and the other in NTFS.

Some WD external hard drive may need WD SES Driver to be successfully recognized
Where to find a driver for a WD product or the operating system (OS) fails to recognize a WD drive
If you need, the extracted WD SES drivers files from .msi to use with driver integration.
* WD SES Driver.zip (16.78 kB - downloaded 123 times.)

If you can not find a solution with your WD USB3 HDD, then it is best, safer to use "Run ALL programs from RAM" in "CdDrive - X: - Y:" plugin or to have a simple USB2 stick on hand.
