Seems some are having an issue with the presence of the > Anti-Virus Test File

the EICAR test file is very familiar to me, but I guess if it wasn't, the sudden introduction might be alarming to many. I still think the test is good, IF your aware it's going to happen!

I did not see the AV warning because I followed the How-To instructions and allowed an AV exception to the working folder....
I would prefer to see the project fail to build properly due to other program.exe(s) AV reasons...
And Strongly oppose the interdiction of a Virus (harmless or not) as a test with this Project to verify the user followed instructions...

Hi

Well to me it's just a short line of code, universally recognized, added to the PreCheck scriptfile, which you can disable with %CheckAV%=False  by the look of it, BUT if you guys really don't like it I'm sure ChrisR will make it default to off, or just remove altogether

I also have an AV exception on my WinPE folder so no worries.
I had recovered the test from ct' mag but if the perception is the opposite of what is expected, I follow you and avoid it
Win10XPE_2019-11-20 is updated on server

Not to download again, the only change is in Projects\Features\PreCheck.Script
Code: [Select]
[Variables]
%CheckAV%=False

Thank You.....

Edit: Just to add to that.. I know some users have only allowed exception for the certain offending project exe's in the tools folder

Hi APT,
Yes, it is traditional to offer a gift for christmas or end of  year.
I wanted to do it before the family ski holidays :skiing:

Basic Build was not present in the first package shared
But at James' request, I then added it to the package before the announcement

As the little drummer boy keeps pumping the Base and while the sleigh bells ring
it becomes a silent night for the little who's in Whoville...

Happy Holiday's To All..

Thanks.
but just FYI,
WinNTSetup4 have problem when building x64 iso from win7 x86.
because win7 x86 can't run WinNTSetup_x64.exe when building,
it fails download adk from internet.
so, some files and folders are missing in X:\Programs\WinNTSetup4\Tools\x64 folder.

I would think the build fails - due to the failed download....
It appears that GWT.exe is being blocked by A/V software

Here is screenshot.
It fails because x86 os system can't run x64 apps.

Hi, ChrisR.
If it is possible, add library devenum.dll.
It does not suffice, for example for work PotPlayer.
