Hi Win7PE

I'm new to this tool and am stuck with this error ( see attached log ).  I can see that other blogs have suggested stuff like making sure I've unpacked the ISO with 7zip or stuck the installation on a reachable folder on my hard drive.  I can see the wim file and can open this with 7zip to see the explorer.exe file the log file complains about.  The target mount folder is read/write and I have permission to write.

Some blogs say its because the windows install is an OEM from Dell - is this correct ?

regards
Ian

Thanks Lancelot ... solved the problem by extracting the WIM files.  I thought I had done this but the blog you referred to showed some additional steps.

I've a nice bootable stick which I have used to fix the non- booting laptop

nice one

Maybe !
any "unofficial source" for SE or Gena can cause trouble.

Step 1
1) Be sure about your source
....

ps: "OEM from Dell" named troubles were more famous to build Gena in very (verrrrry) past.
