Thanks For Taking The Time To Re-Create For PESE

EDIT:
I Edited Plugin assuming placement in "D:\OVEN\Projects\Win10PESE\Components\MSMediaPlayer_PESE.Script"

Added in the Protection For > Net Framework < Requirement

I did not personally test if working in PESE Build

Added in the Protection For > Net Framework < Requirement

For what Net Framework is necessary?
I don't find any difference with or without Net Framework.

Hummm...

I will have to retest with XPE Project, as I believe when testing it would not launch properly without it...
Be it x86 or x64
So I guess by your testing results where different

I have noticed it too late, after my tool to convert plugins from XPE to PESE was written.

Anyway the list of files was there for x86, x64 and x86 on x64 build.
Along with the registry for anyone to follow in any manner they deemed worthy..

As far as I know and tested Macro Library covers all required syntax. (= Plugin Covers all required syntax)
Tested with converting Win10XPE project with Macro Library ( XPEPlugin -> Plugin )  ~ 3 months ago.
Let me know if there is required syntax for a converter I may miss.

Sorry... just saw that post with the link to the scripts for a MPC-BE addon, for some reason(and not when it posted)... I'll try MPC-BE very soon, if I find the time and let you know if it works, and to what extent...

Ok... hello all...

I tried your windows media player script, @Oscar and haven't tried booting it yet, but thought you might want to know that it cannot find 2 files, which are verified present in the "SysWOW64" folder... the 2 files are "gnsdk_fp.dll" and "iccvid.dll". im thinking that it must be the "system32" version it's looking for. the "iccvid" codes is an old cinepak codec, and the "gnsdk_fp" file is the "Gracenote SDK Component" if you were wondering what they were for...

I am hopefully, if it works including a 500kb or less 7z archive of my log.html, if you wanna take a look... uncompressed it should be around 32MB for whole output of "Press BIG blue play button" operation... also, if you have problems unzipping it, I used MOST RECENT 7zip version with highest compression available...

If anyone else tries the windows media player plugin, from Oscar on the 1st page here, and tried it, let me know how it worked out, because with the October 2018 windows 10 source, it doesn't look like it works yet, for me... it acts like it is loading the library super slowly, so as to appear not responding, and when I open a song from file Explorer, then it stops looking frozen, and finally shows the library, but then refused to start after I quit it... make no mistake, it IS further than I have been able to get but, nowhere near complete, at the moment, if my experience with it is any indication, until the bugs and kinks are worked out...

At least i can say Great work getting something that don't say "windows media player has been installed incorrectly"...
Thank you oscar...

If by enabling directX plugin, you mean the other plugin found in components, then not to worry... i enable DX and DotNet whether I need them or not...

Also, his script is set to "level=5" unless it's on purpose, it should be set to 3, to prevent duplicate branches...(you normally have one "components" after all, and not 2...)

I mean I have noticed  that  sometimes media players  need  DirectX.script plugin enabled to work properly.
