Hi MaineCoon,

I continue here now :

*
Thanks for all your hints.

Icons in Update Center
Oops, forgotten. Seems I'm getting old
Is integrated in a new topic: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3367.0
Could you please make this topic sticky ?
We are all getting old
Topic sticky now.  :great:

*
I'm running in a fight with (or against) the forum software
From time to time I also fight with (or against) the forum software, all forum-related updates wait for Galapo.

I join your fight  :transformer:
+
http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.0
What I did:
1) I first remove attachment - Save
2) Add attachments using "Inline expandable" - Save
3) I changed 2 lines to: attachimg=1 width=642 and attachimg=2 width=642 - Save
-->
no more thumbnails at the bottom (no more stored thumbnails (like "End-of-post expandable") at the end of the reply)

During tests I notice adding align=left (eg. attachimg=2 align=left width=642) not good, it cause all reply align left ignoring CRLF,
which I guess made you workaround with lots of extra CRLF after pictures.

+
on your reply 1:
http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.msg40142#msg40142
I did the same but only did not attach refresh.jpg 2 times, Instead I did : attachimg=9 width=642 --> attachimg=8 width=642

Conclusion:
1)
It seems to avoid stored thumbnails (like "End-of-post expandable") at the end of the reply --> we have to select "Inline expandable" at first attach.
When you attach with "End-of-post expandable" and later change reply to create "Inline expandable",
forum do not understand that and still show stored thumbnails at the end
and there is no option to change the attached file from "End-of-post expandable" to "Inline expandable"
as a result, only solution is attaching with "Inline expandable" in the beginning.

I guess That is the reason you do not have stored thumbnails at the end of reply trouble with
 pictures at http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3367
you select "Inline expandable" during attaching pictures.

2)
When align=left used, next pictures and text are also aligned left
Adding Extra CRLF to workaround is not a good workaround, there can be always a wider screen out there.
So better not to use align=left with pictures to avoid future troubles.

3)
As you figured out, not related to locked or unlocked

+
on your post:
http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3367
I removed align=left with extra CRLF and To avoid click picture with the tutorial I did the following :
attachimg=3 width=642 --> attachimg=3 width=798
attachimg=4 width=742 --> attachimg=4 width=797

*
And how can I return ?
I am not sure If I understand your question correctly,
But I guess you want this topic unlocked http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3367 so I unlock it now.

I hope you like the results. Let me know.  :xmas-beer:

Ehmmmm,

I notice at http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.msg40142#msg40142 thumbnails at the bottom reappear after some refresh
I am currently experimenting on this reply (edit save) by changing text ... I will inform you after tests finishes ...

Hi Mainecoon

to workaround thumbnails at the bottom problem on reply 1 I change
Quote
Chapter 3 (Starting MergePE by changing the language)

The following images should be self-explaining (changing English to Italian):
-->
Quote
Chapter 3 (Starting MergePE by changing the language)

Conclusion:
After many tests, I can say our forum engine is lazy
It has a kind of total text limit or something similar I could not figure out precisely.
  giving example:

changing
Quote
Chapter 3 (Starting MergePE by changing the language)
to
Quote
Chapter 3 (Starting MergePE by changing the language)
will cause thumbnails at the bottom problem.

===>
I guess, after an amount of text inside a reply, the forum engine go crazy, and show thumbnails at the bottom.

Nobody made tutorials with lots of bold color text like you before, It is the first time I notice such a problem.

****
Another workaround is to put some of Reply 1 to Reply 2 (current empty).
eg.
Reply 2 starting with
Quote
Chapter 3 (Starting MergePE by changing the language)

The following images should be self-explaining (changing English to Italian):
and rest of Chapter 3 pictures, which seems to me nicer, I leave that to you.  :great:

************
I hope the info helps, I had a long fight with (against) the forum engine.

Hi Mainecoon,

After my last reply above, and do marketing before covid prohibition,
I find time to split your reply 1 as I described above,
It looks to me better preserving your initial design with your colors bold info...

See Reply 1 http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.msg40142#msg40142
and Reply 2 http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.msg40143#msg40143

Now all your posts look correct with all previous text and colors and without thumbnails at the bottom.
If you do not like any change I made let me know, I backup all your initial posts before modify.

I guess we win the Fight :transformer: with the forum engine with some headache.  :ouch:

Hi Mainecoon,

Thanks for updating "How to use the Update Center of LiveSystempro" topic with icon info
http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3367

I always use with English language, probably that is the reason I missed,
now I understand icon meanings :great:

here is a small addition:
Image 3
eg. Apps\Compression - 7zip V 9.x
Icon Means This LSP-Script already exists,
on picture right-up Server: shows server info of LSP-Script
on picture right-down Computer: shows info of existing LSP-Script

Hi Lancelot,

Thanks for all your tests, efforts and fights with the forum engine.  :worship:
Result is excellent and I do not want to change anything more as we both spent too much time with/against the engine.

Addition Server - Computer
You're right, missing at moment. Will add this description tonight.
Thanks.

User account
Hmm, running the builder in the user account might be a bad idea as it could lead to unexpected results.
If I remember correctly (long time ago) it is the same in WB, isn't it ?
Or do you mean it should be explained with better words ? (like "Install the builder to the topmost directory of a drive" or similar)

Hi MaineCoon,

Now we all know what to do in such a forum engine situation, split topic.  :great:

*
Addition Server - Computer
Just a tip,
When creating tutorial pictures for Update Center in the future, better use examples from Apps,
Regular users more interested in Apps LSP-Scripts
and LSP has a big set of App-LSP-Scripts on the server for a long while now, only a few know.

*
"User Accounts" --> now I understand what you mean.
1)
It is only troubling when you mount (install.wim)
I use Extracted Wim Folders with SE Projects so no trouble to me.
Default Win10PESE (BuildClass3) do not mount anymore so it probably is ok with the "User Accounts" folder (eg. Desktop)
Gena and LSP-WinXPE have no such limitation.
2)
Secondary trouble is long paths of some files, during copy it may or may not fail
(eg. C:\User\Maria Teresa García Ramírez de Arroyo\Desktop\Here is my Personal folder for Merge PE\LiveSyspro.exe)
up to LSP or other projects long path support and about Plugins or LSP-Scripts enabled or not.
Again Gena and LSP-WinXPE have no such limitation

-->
To keep end-user on the safe side, better write simple instruction like (with my bad English, change the way you like) :
Quote
Extract MergePE to a simple short path. eg. D:\MergePE\LiveSyspro.exe

ps: Do not use Desktop ("User Account" folder known to cause failure with mount)

Hi MaineCoon,

Small thing:
no need Thumbs.db with zip distribution

.\Custom\Thumbs.db
.\Projects\MergePE\Customize\StartIsBack8.1\Thumbs.db
.\Projects\MergePE\Customize\StartIsBack10\Thumbs.db

Hi MaineCoon,

And a question:

On Update Center I notice \Apps\"PENetwork" LSP-Script always Pink text with Image1

After some tests I guess :
Image 1 - Blue Text --> LSP-Script not exists + Image 1: LSP-Script have MultiLanguage option
Image 1 - Pink Text --> LSP-Script exists + Image 1: LSP-Script have MultiLanguage option
Image 2 - Blue Text --> LSP-Script not exists + Image 2: LSP-Script do not have MultiLanguage option
Image 2 - Pink Text --> LSP-Script exists + Image 2: LSP-Script do not have MultiLanguage option

Image 3  --> A theory It means Some ! LSP-Script available with zip distribution ?!?!?!?
\Apps\"PENetwork" available with zip distribution Image 1
and
\Apps\Compression\"7zip V 9.x" available with zip distribution Image 3
I believe this theory is wrong, there should be a better meaning for Image 3 ??????
 ??????????

ps:
Image1 Image2 Image3 ref "How to use the Update Center of LiveSystempro" http://TheOven.org/index.php?topic=3367

*
In addition,
It will be good you add Blue & Pink text meaning to "How to use the Update Center of LiveSystempro" http://TheOven.org/index.php?topic=3367

Hi MaineCoon

Another Theory:
"Image 3" LSP-Scripts are special LSP-Scripts that work with Utils\"Update Center" - "Check Updates" ?

Also, check Reply 70 here http://TheOven.org/index.php?topic=2186.msg40295#msg40295

Hi MaineCoon,

Another info I just discoved for your tutorial :
"How to use the Update Center of LiveSystempro" http://TheOven.org/index.php?topic=3367

Image 1and Image 2 LSP-Scripts :
When not exists: Text is Blue
When exists and no need update: Text is Pink
When exists and new LSP-Script available: Text is Green

Image 3 LSP-Scripts:
When not exists: not in the update center list ?!?!?
(tested with deleting an Image3 LSP-Script and "Start Update Center"
eg. manually delete .\Apps\Compression\"7zip V 9.x" and "Start Update Center" ,
there will not be .\Apps\Compression\"7zip V 9.x" on the list ?!?!?!?!)
When exists and no need update: Text is Black
When exists and new LSP-Script available:  Text is Green + A notice on LSP first start saying new LSP-Script available + default enabled when "Start Update Center" used.

*
I feel my last theory:
"Image 3" LSP-Scripts are special LSP-Scripts that work with Utils\"Update Center" - "Check Updates"
smells correct.

I understand "Image 3 LSP-Script" idea, I use a similar path with Azin,
but I believe better simplify how things look on the update center.

Yesterday Fight with forum engine, today fight with LSP-Update center.
I am glad we have victory, now victory to describe things with LSP-Update center,
further on your hands to update the topic

Hi Lancelot,

Thanks again for your tests, hints and your "eagle eyes".
Will work through step by step, but gimme some time.

First step will be Thumbs.db that comes from my computer and I never noticed before that it's included in the zip (lazy ?).
And I'm also very interested what happens with the deleted script (7z) and its behaviour in the Update Center.
Lot of tests and sufficient time is my enemy.  :frusty:

Hi MaineCoon

And I'm also very interested what happens with the deleted script (7z) and its behaviour in the Update Center.
After many tests, I have another (better) theory now
Image3 LSP-Scripts not on the server, they are distributed with zip distribution
so If you delete them manually (or some of them I did not test all),
you can not see them on LSP Update Center
BUT
only If they are updated they appear on LSP Update center and become Image2 (or Image1) LSP-Script
eg.
Win10PE\Finish\"Post Config" not on server distributed with zip distribution -> Image3 LSP-Script
But now there is an update
  http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=2186.msg40294#msg40294
When you download new "Post Config" LSP-Script, and later open update center,
you will see Win10PE\Finish\"Post Config" is Image2 LSP-Script

All mystery solved.

Lot of tests and sufficient time is my enemy.  :frusty:
I fully understand you, today I am doing all I can do in the last few days to pack and go for a long while.
All my feedback with posts on the forum, they will not get lost inside e-mails or any other method,
so you can follow and do things better whenever you find some time.

That is the reason I prefer forum  we had tried e-mail and other things >10 years ago during the development of Gena,
It was not good, things are always forgotten or lost ...

Always with small steps to better MaineCoon when you find some time

Better better theory after noticing something else:
Image3 LSP-Scripts not on the server,
they are Image1 LSP-Scripts distributed only with zip package

when there is Image2 LSP-Script distributed only with zip package (not on the server),
 Its icon remains Image2
eg.
WinXP PE \Customize\"WallPaper / Display" LSP-Script (Image2)
Win7PE    \Shells\"OwnShell" LSP-Script (Image2)

Summary:
Image1 LSP-Scripts are multi-language - on the server
Image2 LSP-Scripts are not multi-language - on the server or not
Image3 LSP-Scripts are multi-language - They are Image1 LSP-Scripts not on the server
+
When a LSP-Script which not exists on server before updated :
Image3 LSP-Scripts become Image2 LSP-Script
Image1 LSP-Scripts remains Image1 LSP-Script

All mystery again solved

Hi MaineCoon,

Using MergePE-Utils\"Update Center" -> "Start Update Center", Following LSP-Scripts do not appear on MergePE after download :

Components\"Keyboard Indicator"
Apps\Internet\"Qm - The Quick Mailer"
Apps\Partition\"Acronis Disk Director 11"
Apps\Partition\"Acronis Disk Director 12.5"
Apps\Partition\"AOMEI Partition"
Apps\Partition\"DiskGenius5"
Apps\Partition\"EaseUS Partition 14.5"
Apps\Partition\"Minitool Partition Wizard 12"

I get them from Win10PE,
following srt info they are compatible with MergePE,
so I guess only a server fix required.

Just tested, w/o "Keyboard Indicator" all downloads are visible in MergePE. Did you open the folder ?

Hi MaineCoon,

Probably my mistake or something else, I could not figure out now,
All \Partition\ are ok now

But
Components\"Keyboard Indicator"
Apps\Internet\"Qm - The Quick Mailer"
fails

I hope the following feedback cover up my mistake:
I guess
on both LSP-Script on server, srtinf should be changed from MultiPE to MergePE

Hi Lancelot,

Regarding your deleted (and afterwards not visible) "7zip 9.x" one thing came into my mind:
the crux is that this script is integrated in all LSP-projects by default.
Means that on the server only the language files are available but not the script itself.
Thus the Update Center under no circumstances can find this script or with other words:
if it's necessary to update the script it will be available in a new final version of LSP-projects.

Qm - The Quick Mailer
No idea, I'm getting in Apps\Internet
- JBMail 3.2
- K-Melon
- Mozilla Firefox
- Qm - The Quick Mailer
- QtWeb
- Thunderbird
