I suggest to try the utility: MyUSBEjecter_v109en.exe (15kb).

http://www.mediafire.com/?ss9u4yim78bo54t

Works better than "Hotswap" !

Works in Win7PE and LiveXP.

Looks quite nice and small (16 KB :w00t::thumbsup:  :great:

I couldn't find its homepage (or homeforum ..)  ????  (I found some chinese websites but not home....)

Another idea, which I personally use a lot to eject my ufd easly and quickly (due to some AV bugs where I travel)
, is using Galapo's flush utility,
A Flush Plugin also available at Gena\Apps\System Tools\  works both with Gena/Win7PESE

I personally put it on my ufd root, and use a lot around

MyUSBEjector (or U-Ejection expert v1.11) looks fine, and indeed very light
I added it as an option in the Hotplug script (with the choice between Hotswap!, MyUSBEjector or windows Hotplug).
I also made a small program to hide the Windows Safely remove Icon in systray, useful if hotswap or MyUSB Ejector are chosen.

on server:  Hotplug

About flush that I personally use via share script.
Is there a possibility in a future version to propose a tray Icon with options related with the hardware detected.

If you ask for Galapo's flush,
there is already 'Context Menu Entry' option selected as default, which to me sufficient on pe.....

aside, as I wrote, I use it quite in portable way

I had and error today with this script. I used it in my build and when I plugged in my Kingston 32gig jump drive after WinPE was loaded, the system BSOD. I didn't get the error code but every time I booted to WinPE and then try to plug in a USB Drive, it would blue screen. I rebuild the PE using Hotswap and I could plug the drive in and no blue screen but I had to go to Disk Manager and click on the drive before it would show up under My Computer. Anyway to accomplish when you plug a USB Drive in later, it will show up in My Computer without using Disk Manager or and BSOD? Hotswap icon at the bottom will show the drive plugged in with drive letter but not in my computer?

Try using MountStorePE side by side with Hotswap
Yomi\AppY\System Tools\"MountStorePE"
http://TheOven.org/index.php?topic=175.0

theory (test) is: after you plugin, and after whatever hotswap do, MountStorePE may (or not) get Explorer aware letter.......

Let us know....

Worked like a charm. No BSOD and my jumpdrive showed up in my computer automatically. No sure why USBEjecter is BSOD my machine but this method works for me. Thank you, Lancelot!  :worship:

Very Good
Thanks for feedback  :good:

@Chris:
Feel free to embed MounStorPe inside and any plugin you like (which seems better design on organisation of such thingies ;)),
we also use MounStorPe on Gena inside Removable Devices plugin ;)
I had decided to keep individual MounStorPe on Yomi, to test/use individually when required,
and today is Win7PESE day  :great:

I'm going to do a new build today and try the usbejector again. May it was a one build error. Thanks for three fix, ChrisR!   :great:

Hi Chris,

sometimes endusers have unreproducable troubles,
or user specific troubles,
(->which indicates there is a trouble hiding somewhere , waiting to be hunted)

when you are in doubt ( hesitate ) on a proposed solution,
wait for a 2nd end user report
I do that way too

Anyway, let's see how this goes....  :great:
