Shortcuts Not being created by build core.

As a workaround for now

Build Core - Select "Edit Pecmd.ini"
And Add under section "_SUB Shortcuts"

Code: [Select]
LINK %Desktop%\PENetwork,%ProgramFiles%\PENetwork\PENetwork.exe
LINK %Programs%\Network\PENetwork,%ProgramFiles%\PENetwork\PENetwork.exe

EDIT: Tested (All Programs To Ram) and working with settings below

It's not shortcut problem. Shortcuts are there.

As I said, No PENetwork tray icon, No PENetwork.exe in task manager.

do you have advanced options visiable - small box lower right

Run From Ram ?

ila_rendered

Note: If using "Host Boot Menu Option" You have to Build to RAM - as Y Drive (USB) is Not Present - thus no program files

SIB++ 2.7.3 was ready in my test environment but I forgot to transfer it.
It is now done in the same dated package.
I also changed the default language to English in Backupper.

Hi ChrisR

since last silent update 2018-12-06
I now seem to get

Code: [Select]
1 Error in script [Build Core] (Win10XPE\Core.script)
Error Loop - Argument [%NbLang%] is not a valid integer (Loop,%ScriptFile%,WimSmallUpdateMui_Loop,1,%NbLang%,#1) (Line 1021)
with PEBakery

Edit it's quite possible I didn't run the first 2018-12-06 under PEB so didn't notice error!
       still working with BuilderSE

I reproduced. Debugging with messages, it is due to "System,RebuildVars"
It does not work as intended in PEBackery and here variable %NbLang% is empty after and probably others as well.
By cons, with PEBackery, the function is not required, It does his job well by refreshing the dependent variables  It is not the case with WB
You can comment line 368 //System,RebuildVars

I use System,RebuildVars With WB to refresh global variables %Target_Win%, %Target_Sys%, %RegSystem%,...
After the change of %Target% due to the new "Use Architecture for Target and ISO Folders Names" option.

Is there a way to know the builder used, a variable ?

Trick found to be compatible with both buiders, change in Core.script:
Code: [Select]
System,RebuildVars
=>    Internal %WBExe% variable does not exist in PEBakery
If,Not,%WBExe%,Equal,#$pWBExe#$p,System,RebuildVars

Do you have a better way ?

Hi, circcc

It is PENetwork's bug(GetFirstIni() forget to load the StartToTray option.) as my WimBuilder2 building is same, need start it again.
also Win10XPE_2018-10-12 is same(WimBuilder2's project convert from this).

before PENetwork run, add StartToTray = 1 in HKCU reg entry,
Or change the PENetwork.ini ShowMain => True, according to what you want.

I don't know why ChrisR and APT tested the WIN10XPE project and declared strongly no the issue.
maybe they use custom PENetwork.ini, or new version(fiexed)?

PeNetwork is crashing here, caused by the SMB1.0 fix.

Thanks for letting me know for SMB1.0
however, I do not reproduce
And I have no problem with the animated PENetwork icon. The project use StartToTray=1 in HKCU by default.

circcc, if you can check if it's related. by commenting // these lines in Features Network.script
Code: [Select]
If,Not,ExistFile,%GTarget_Sys%\drivers\mrxsmb10.sys,Begin
  ShellExecute,Hide,%GTools%\wimlib-imagex.exe,"extract #$q%GSource%\sources\install.wim#$q %Image% #$q\Windows\WinSxS\*_microsoft-windows-smb10-minirdr_*\mrxsmb10.sys#$q --dest-dir=#$q%GTarget_Sys%\drivers#$q --no-acls"
End

Is your mrxsmb10.sys a valid PE file?
Mine is compressed and needs decompression with https://github.com/hfiref0x/SXSEXP/tree/master/Binary
