Hello,

I wonder if I could use it legally for my work as technician. Or would it be dangerous?

I'm asking as I found "Project Medicine" and I know what it usually means. Is it what I think it is?

Normal WinBuilder is not doing anything against Win10 PE license, but I don't know what exactly happens within your project application.

Please let me know.

PS. Is there any way I could add logo of my company in My computer properties to make it look more proffesional?

Thanks, lopez

Hi lopez,

Yes you can following MS license.
TheOven is open ~9 years now, we are not closed by MS legacy team since everything here is ok.

I'm asking as I found "Project Medicine" and I know what it usually means. Is it what I think it is?

I believe there is a misunderstanding, it is just a plugin to make small fixes.

Normal WinBuilder is not doing anything against Win10 PE license, but I don't know what exactly happens within your project application.
"Normal WinBuilder" with only winbuilder.exe is same with CMD.exe , do not do anything alone.

Follow MS license to use PE and a copy of  Windows on PC on your company,
If it is ok, you can use.

Better leave logo as it is, it will be more professional for other technicians to find here.

You can customize many things, there are also many plugins available,
need to spend some time to test and figure out.  :great:

Hi lopez,

Welcome to the forum.

I'm asking as I found "Project Medicine" and I know what it usually means.

There is history behind the name of this plugin. :go_fish:

Once upon a time Lancelot and I were actively involved in testing WinBuilder.exe and maintaining a project, LiveXP. However, development of WinBuilder.exe was always introducing medusa-type bugs. The name "Project Medicine" is an inside joke from those days where this plugin was used to get around WinBuilder.exe bugs after the basic PE system had been generated in the build process.

Regards,
Galapo.

Bad old days, writing same plugins again and again ......
I can not remember how many times I had to rewrite and reupdate same plugins only to get compatible....
Brrr......

Hi lopez,

After we get rid of winbuilder developers producing intentional :medusa: medusa bugs,
later same plugin used to add small things to post-core build of all projects.
