AutoRun Script Question

I am alittle confused on the AutoRun deal. So I use add additional file option and add a autorun.cmd to the system32 folder and when the PE boots up, my autorun.cmd  starts with AutoRun.exe?   

I am trying to use this on Gena by the way. Autorun.exe and autorun.cmd are being copied to system32 folder but will not run on bootup. I must admit, not the master script writer yet ( Didn't really know what a PE script or how PE worked til three days ago  ) but I have been trying all day to mod this script to work with Gena. Got it working perfect with Win7PE.   

Ok guys, kinda feeling proud right now! I made some changes to the Win7PE AutoRun script and I am now proud to say it works with Gena!!!  If this hasn't been done already, do I send it to a mod to look over and can it be posted in on the Gena Script page?

I do not know about Autorun script much, so far Add_Shortcut,Autorun filled my needs ...

and describe where you use (why you need etc.) 

Auto run script allows you to add a runonce  script into registry and it copy autorun.exe into the system32 folder and will run any cmd labeled autorun. cmd.  The script paths was designed for Win7. I modded the script to include the i386 directory as paths as win7 doesn't have the i386 folder. So now on boot up of. Win7 PE or Gena, this autorun cmd runs all my little extra goodies on first boot up. Now I looked at add shortcut, autorun and was a tap confused. I may play with it more today. So this add_shortcut will create programs or cmd to run on first boot up? I was thinking it just created shortcuts. I saw the examples on the Web page but could you give me a clearer example on how it's used. Like and example of add_shortcut (switch) whatever.exe or whatever.cmd.

well, we do not use this method anymore, it comes from very old times when there was no common way for startup tasks (I guess author that times ignore to add such thing to shell), this was invented.

Yes, Add_Shortcut creates shortcuts, and as you know Windows use startup shortcuts for startup tasks ;) --> Add_Shortcut,Autorun

Figuring out syntaxes is exhousting for a beginner,

Practice with ready solutions, which would also show you how syntax works
