your project looks as what i need. I lightweight windows OS that can run only few programs (word processing mainly).
I try it, but it throws the error below :

I have update the app as you show me but still i receive the same error.
I notice that my XP SP1 ISO hasn't a file named install.wim or esd.
Could be this the reason ?

Hi,

I made a new Gena extraction and a new winXPsp3 dir in root of the HDD
I run first time WinBuilder077RC2.exe and i made only the update, then exit.
I then run WinBuilder077RC2 Starter.exe and i only change the source path.
Preesing the BBB i had the error message on the post title and the attached zipped (html) log file
My pc has Win10/x64

yes, this was exactly i did right after very first run of WinBuilder077RC2.exe.
And after this, i run the new WinBuilder077RC2 Starter.exe

Here I do reproduce exactly what I wrote, all working very nice here.

No, i download it last week from microsoft. I'l try to find the link.
But i have doubts about its intrgation in PESE distros because it claims that is for usb and i think uses writable media. You must know better than me, see... i'm not an expert!

On the other hand, openoffice works really as portable. I test it.
I don't know about LibreOffice.

I believe that integration of such an office suit is a must for a RESE distro!  (at least for me!)

Found what I think is the trick though.. Free and Pro - all same files...

LibreOffice paf 600MB for that...

I got frustrated doing this and found the cfgs folder > http://www.kingsoftstore.com/download-office/index
it is 260MB and using appdate\local\^\*\*\*

My experience until now, about office suits i've tried :
LibreOfice paf installs and runs ok in win7PESE, but i can't configure it before integration (like adding dictionary in my languge).
Is there a way to unpack-configure-repack it ?
And it needs to run from RAM

I made a new plugin (PC packed) with a LibreOffice portable edition that i download from product's site.
But, although it integrated and installed ok, it doesn't run!  clicking on the executable... seems to begin executed but in a second the system.... swallows it!
Setting to run from RAM (as the ready one plugin  does), throws the error "cannot run from inside program files. This application is for standard local software only. Please use this application from another location". Copying to HDD, swallowed !
From inside WinBuilder using Launch button, it executes ok.
The directory size and organization on distro, is exactly the same with the one i have on my pc (and on a usb stick)  that runs ok.

WPS is a beautiful product but the free edition prints watermarks and i didn't see a portable edition.
