if i hide logonui the desktop shows as system, control panel works
something sound right to me for Win7PESE, Win7PESE designed to logon as system, it is a "Windows PE" ....
when you "remove" PE from Win7PESE,
it is "normal" Windows "try" to behave as a " Windows Normal"
it is "normal" it will try to boot with "c:", and it is normal it will try to use "logon",
you can work a bit more to change bootdrive from "c:" to "x:" , get "logon" operational...
which sounds not right, since you look like drawing circle:
not right word, but trying to explain with word "convert" to get clear:
"Win7PESE" -> "converting 'Windows Normal' to Windows PE "
you are trying to convert "Win7PESE" to "Windows Normal"
or with other words (more or less)
'Windows Normal' ---Win7PESE--->
'Windows PE' ---You--->
'Windows Normal'Anyway, to me, it is a nice "research" to have fun,
have fun
