Here are the steps I took:
1) Download and install Windows AIK
2) Download and unzip Win7PE_SE_Small_2015-02-20
3) Move unzipped subdirectory under Program Files
4) Click on Download tab
5) Click on Win7PE_SE under "recommended" then click on "Download".  Lots of stuff is downloaded
6) Insert Win7 Ultimate Install disk (that I used for my Windows 7 installation) in DVD tray. Copy all files to C:\Win7
7) Click on the Step 1&3 picture under the "Script Tab" and get "WIndows Phtoo Viewer can't open this picture because either the picture is deleted, or it's in a location that isn't available.
8) Click on "Source" Tab and click on Source directory and point it to c:\win7
9) Click on "Play"

Get failure notice: "Build stopped due to an error"
CLick on "OK" button

Thre is an Errors (1): RegHivLoad -Faile to load registry hive: [WB-SOFT] From file: [WIndows\system32\config\software]: unknown error:

Now what?  (I tried to upload the log.7z file yesterday, but my post seems to have disappeared.)

It appears that the EzPE3 version *does* work, so I will base my winPE on it.  Still wish I knew what I am doing wrong with the Win7_PE_SE_Small_2015-02-20, though.  Probably something simple.

No need to

after 10 posts you can
(workaround: give link inside codebox)

3) Move unzipped subdirectory under Program Files
!!! Why

This may be the problem if your host is x64, (windows x64 specialize ( limits )  C:\Program Files\ folder for only x64 applications ...)
