Hi,

LiveSystempro proudly presents a new project:
MergePE

LSP-MergePE is a new LSP project whose aim is to summarize the LSP projects Win7PE, Win8PE and Win10PE in one project and therefore to harmonise the performance of the builder by a reduced number of standard scripts.

LSP-MergePE consists of 2 projects:
- MergePE      (combination of Win7PE, Win8PE, Win10PE)
- WinXPE       (identical to the existing LSP project)

LSP-MergePE uses all known elements of the LSP GUI.

LSP-MergePE uses exactly the same scripts as the standard projects of LSP do with following restrictions:
-   the scripts in Update-Center are executable in all projects (depending on the source media)
-   standard scripts of the builder are despite same name only partly identical

Identical standard scripts:
-   7zip.srt
-   QtWeb.srt
-   1-StartIsBack10.srt
-   StartIsBack8.1.srt
-   BestEmu.srt
-   VirtualBox.srt
-   VMware.srt

All other standard scripts of LSP-MergePE are due to their complexity only executable in LSP-MergePE.

The first start of LSP-MergePE has to be done analogue to the LSP standard projects.

Created log files can be found (with meaningful name) in folder %BaseDir%\Logs.

Thanks MaineCoon

 :djparty:

Tested with Win10x64 and Win7.1x64 sources, all build work fine out of box. :great:
:bbq:

Only small thing with Win7.1x64 (v6.1.7601 en-us) : Explorer always open new explorer windows.
eg. 1) "Double click Computer" at desktop 2) "Double click X:\" 3) new explorer windows

ps: Feel free to open a new project topic http://theoven.org/index.php?board=23.0

Welcome to the Project Admin world .

MergePE , Impossile was yesterday   :bounce: :cheerleader:

Hi Lancelot,

Thanks for testing and the welcome to Project Admin world.

"Small thing":
Yes, you are right. Never tested before the explorer in that way.
As I found out it happens only using a Windows 7 source.

So I know what to do in the next few weeks.  :fell_asleep:

Hi MaineCoon,

*
BTW:
Would you be so kind and pin the new topic "LSP-MergePE"?
Forgot to mention,

You can also write in your native language preferably side by side with english.

eg. new topic: first topic post with English, 2nd post with Reply 1 German (+at the end of Reply 1 write something like "Fühlen Sie sich frei, hier Deutsch zu schreiben "

It will be nice to see Tutorial topics with 2 languages, and It will be easy for you to maintain.
Easy Maintain is Admin's best friend.

As you know I do not let post gamers around, but still, the same post gamers do pm games with new users since 10 years forum created.

Be ready to get pms as a new project author from people you did not get pm before.

See You

Hi MaineCoon,

I notice you use the forum to attach picture very professionally
Just a tip, On tutorials, It is better to use full-sized images instead of thumbnails, so end-user read out of box without click to pictures.
eg.
on your tutorial topic post http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.msg40112#msg40112
attachimg=1 align=left width=400
-->
attachimg=1 align=left width=442

etc.

*
on your Update Center reply: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.msg40143#msg40143
I do not know the meaning of different icons on update center
eg.
on the second picture
Explorer Tweaks
Open Shell
Security
have different icons ?
can you write few words to the tutorial to explain these icon meanings?

*
It is better to have different topics for Tutorials so end user notice more easily,
"How to use the Update Center of LiveSystempro" can be a different topic and can be more noticed this way.
further, you decide.

*
It is better you open a topic like "MergePE Feedback" so I can post there, for now, I write here since there is no such topic, and tutorial topic made me feel a wrong place.
eg.
As you know there is "Questions and Answers" topic we use to ask anything related to LSP http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=295.0
And recently you notice HeyJoe topic, and you may remember my very old "anything everything" topics in very past,
such topics are good to make communication faster.

See you

Hi Lancelot,

Thanks for all your hints.

Icons in Update Center
Oops, forgotten. Seems I'm getting old
Is integrated in a new topic: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3367.0
Could you please make this topic sticky ?

Feedback
New topic available: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3368.0

Tutorial pictures
Having changed the picture size(s) I'm running in a fight with (or against) the forum software and I'm always loosing, no matter what I'm doing.
Opening the topic (http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=3360.0) all seems to be ok.
Refreshing the topic I'm getting at the end of Post #1 as well as of Post #2 the stored thumbnails (like "End-of-post expandable") although it's saved as "Inline expandable".
I might doing something wrong but I don't know if it's important or not.
And I don't know if it has any effect if I lock this topic (at moment it is unlocked).

Thanks in advance

Update
Having locked the topic I can see the thumbnails all the time.
Seems it depends on switching between these two possibilities, isn't it ?
And how can I return ?
