Hi to all.
I've already created some buils with win7pese and I've never had big problems.
So I decide to switch to win10pese.
Unpacked the folder below d:\win10pe_se and chose the minimum project.
I have this error:

builderse.exe started as admin. nod32 instructed to not scan d:\win10pe_se. win10 italian iso unpacked under d:\win10x32
i check the forum but i find nothing
Someone so kind to help me, please.  :embarrassed:

Start over using the below 5 pieces of advice -

1.) Try to use 8chars or less in builder folder and source folder names (Also placed on ROOT)

2.) Also make sure you are using ISO downloaded from below linked tool:
https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-and-office-iso-download-tool

3.) Disable NOD32 completely (Eset) during build (Probably not needed, but best for testing, since you mentioned you might as well)

4.) Place builder folder on C:

5.) Run builder as Admin

Do all 5 of these, if you still experience errors, let us know in this thread.

4.) Place builder folder on C:
When possible D: is better.

5.) Run builder as Admin
As far as I know, Not required
--> builder always runs as admin, correct me if I am wrong ?

2.) Also make sure you are using ISO downloaded from below linked tool:

As bob.omb pointed, use supported source
ex:
Win10PESE - Current (2017.10.24): Win10_1703_Italian_x32.iso
http://windowsiso.net/windows-10-iso/windows-10-creators-update-1703-download-build-15063/windows-10-creators-update-1703-iso-download-standard/

*
1.) Try to use 8chars or less in builder folder and source folder names (Also placed on ROOT)
extract the latest Win10PESE zip to
D:\Oven\

*
Extract Win10_1703_Italian_x32.iso to D:\win10x32
after selecting Source
Use:
Utils\Extracted Wim Folders
Gooooo button

*
3.) Disable NOD32 completely (Eset) during build (Probably not needed, but best for testing, since you mentioned you might as well)

First, thanks for the help provided.
The win10 iso used is official build 1607. I think is supported by the builder.

Made some tests while downloading build 1703

1) Renamed builder folder to d:\wpemake. Less than 8 characters. --> same error.
1b) The source is already in a folder with 8 characters. d:\win10x32
2) Disabled completely nod32. --> same error.
3) Extracted the wims with utils\Extracted Wim Folders --> same error.

I have to wait 1 hour more to complete the download of the win10 ISO.

If needed i can provide logs.

But the frustrating thing is not understanding the reason of fail.
Your suggestions, for which I thank you, do not explain the reason.
The error is in postconfig, after unmounting the images and before creating boot.wim.

Are you using the highlighted button in the attached picture to include files? (Post Config plugin)

Hi henrava,

Both:
Win10_1607_Italian_x32.iso
Win10_1703_Italian_x32.iso
Boots fine here without any warning on the log.

Hello.
@Bob.omb
My configuration for post config plugin is different. Compression is set to normal.
https://imagebin.ca/v/3ezQo0qLawE8

@Lancelot
Of course I use only official iso for this kind of project!
The Isos are downloaded from:
http://windowsiso.net for build 1703

and https://www.heidoc.net for build 1607

With the help from Nirsoft Hashmyfiles utility:

Hi henrava,

I have both iso same with you and build both fine here as shown in picture.

I do not get cscui.dll cscobj.dll warning as seen on your log.
?????????????

What I quickly did is:
Extract Win10PE_SE_2017-10-13.zip to D:\Oven
Extract Win10_1703_Italian_x32.iso to D:\S\Test1
open builder
Select Source - D:\S\Test1
Utils\Extract Wim folder --> Goo
Big Blue

Same test with
Win10_1607_Italian_x32.iso to D:\S\Test2
Select Source - D:\S\Test2
Utils\Extract Wim folder --> Goo
Big Blue

All goes fine here. I do not have any more idea why you have PostConfig Move error ????

Let us know when you figure out.

New test from win10 build 1703

No more warnings in the section explorer (cscui.dll, cscobj.dll).

The error in the post config is still here!

http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=43566440241309517704

Meanwhile i have added a first version of italian StartMenu.

Now i'm redownloading the win10 project and start from zero.

If error persists, try on a different machine.  You may have issues on the one your using unrelated to PE project

Downloaded a fresh build: Win10PE_SE_2017-10-13
Unzipped in d:\oven
...
Same error!

It is possible to run sebuilder in a virtual machine?
I use virtualbox and i have a fresh working win7x32 VM.

If not I can try on my (old) laptop.

Good idea.

It should work, just do same things inside VirtualBox.

Just another idea to keep in mind, do not use usb connected harddisks for source or project.

Yeah!  :w00t:
The build in the win7x64 VM (virtualbox) was successful. No errors.
But the problem is not solved, just bypassed.

While waiting for the build end, I tried to find an answer to the error.
It seems to me that it is related to "shdirmove.exe" contained in PostConfig.
Error 0x00000002, or 2, is "The system can not find the specified file."

source: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/9191415/shfileoperation-shfileopstruct

I'm not a programmer, I hope this information can be useful to anyone who understands more.

Hi henrava,

check if you have file SHDirMove.exe on your host project folder:
ex:
D:\Oven\Temp\Macro_Library\SHDirMove.exe

?

*
2nd idea:

I guess :

there are 2 move operations,
since
1st move operation failed (reason unknown)
ex:
move folder D:\1\a\ to D:\2\
==>
as a result you have D:\2\a\

2nd move operation
move folder D:\2\a\ to D:\1\
failed with
Error 0x00000002, or 2, is "The system can not find the specified file."

since there is no D:\2\a\

**

Usual Suspects, AV and BadSource.
You eliminate BadSource

Some AV softwares remains scaning files even you disable them.

Since we can not reproduce here,
And your failure comes around here very rare,
( It seems majority of users do not have such failure)
we can not solve the problem or give a more exact description to the problem.

If you figure out this is related other than AV, let us know.

Just for the record, write the AV you use. ???

Hi Lancelot, thanks for your time.
I made some tests:
- Full Remove of nod32 antivirus, rebooted pc and run builderse: Same Error!
So we can remove the AV from the suspects.
The problem is related to my Operating System (win7 x64).
Today i will made a fresh install of the OS and run the test again.
