I really don't know whats wrong but I'm constantly getting a black screen with only the mouse cursor. I can move the mouse coursor but nothing else happens, even ctr+alt+del doesn't work. I've build with win7 sp1 dvd as source, and this problem used to happen just alike but don't know why I did build one that didn't had this problem. I'm not sure on how to find out what is happening.

it gets blank after the "Microsoft Windows" loading thing (a few moments after, when it should display the desktop background).

it also happens when testing the image in VMWARE.

To find out what is wrong, starts from the default package.

Then add your applications or your drivers one by one and use "Create new Target Image and ISO", postconfig script in Finals folder.

I have not add anything just default build and I'm stuck in that problem.

If you didn't changed anything, than something maybe wrong with your win7 sp1 dvd.

Are you sure it's untouched (nothing integrated) or do you can try a different DVD?

i've downloaded a new ISO and I've tried with both vmware and virtualbox. Same thing. This is driving me nuts. Also the mouse pointer is not "automatically moving" I must click in the window so I can move the mouse (vmware tools usually is related to this). But besides being able to move the mouse nothing else happens, no background, no ctr+alt+del, nothing...

Okay if your source is clean and you use a unchanged Win7PE_SE_2013-??-??.zip project,
there are two things left that could be a problem.

1. if you have an Anti virus program running during build, please disable it while you build the PE.

2. thought unlikely, but possible it's a driver related issue,
so please create the build with all Drivers scripts disabled.
To do this simply remove the check box on Drivers in the main tree.

Man, same thing. This is very weird. The strange thing is that it was happening before, but I did something that did help produce a working image. But now I really need help finding out what's wrong. Is there some sort of log which we could use?

Is there a place where I can download the default image produced for now?

ha ha ha this is a good joke
I had some doubts about you after your first message about your non-official Windows7, with integrated hotfix.
But now, I have no more doubt after all the additional tests
Either you have a big problems on your machine, and even the installation of an original windows7 is not possible or else you are not reliable.  I believe more in the second.
Especially after reading this :

it's untouched, there's a program that automatically downloads it, I think it's win builder, winpe builder
Strange, isn't it  :w00t: that reminds me, some dubious...
If you mean the new Java WinBuilder, it does not concern me.
You are free to choose, to use or develop what you want, what better. But do not come here to make the promotion of something else, or to create false problems.
An opportunity to remind that The Win7PE_SE reliability needs no further demonstration, It is widely used and It knows a great success for several years, it is not the result of chance . This bother you maybe but it is like that
Fair winds   :surfing:

Man a little bit of infantility on your part. I've used a program that automatically downloaded a good ISO for winPE build. That's what I've said. It's an untouched iso, from microsoft. Besides that PE SE is not working. Just to let you know today i've tried another thing. I've moved all the files to another machine and did the same process, with the same ISO. It worked flawlessly. So the problem is some incompatibility between PE SE and my machine. The problem exists however. Because of your joke answer we better stop this here.

You say it, after, alleluia
I have the right to be wrong, but I also saw some similarity with childish games, looks like déjà vu.
Yes, we better stop this here.

yeah but just to make it clear: the program has a flaw. at least with one of my machines. If you didn't screw it up I would cooperate to find out what's wrong. But I've found too much anger in you.

The program is winbuilder and has undeniable many flaws.
But the project here is Win7PE SE - the most famous and widely used WinPE.

The fact that the final ISO works on an other machine also indicates that the problems is your PC.
So in this case we can't help much, cause we can't reproduce this problem.

you still don't get it right. I've COMPILED in another machine and then it works. Final ISO and WIM when compiled in my machine DOES NOT WORK in it or in any other machine. I've explained it many times before including in the OP.

Well in that case you can compare the two folders in the project folder Target\Win7PESE with a diff tool like the old windiff.

Also right after building there is a Log tab in winbuilder.
Click this one and than you have a button "Save as log.html"

Maybe compare these two logfiles can also help to find the problem.
