@James, I already did that and it did not work...

That is why I opted for pecmd.ini

Any idea why it is not working?

Not even the Desktop Shortcut is working for Chrome!

You Building Chrome to RAM or USB

The desktop shortcut for Chrome is removed by default...
I do believe that once you launch Chrome - the chrome installer re-creates the desktop shortcut
strike that - the installer does not recreate the shortcut..

uploading the newest version of Chrome now

I am building Chrome as Run from USB...

No, the desktop shortcut does not become visible once you launch Chrome

Now will try again using Run from RAM... but I do not think that is the issue...

Why do the Taskbar numbers in pecmd.ini start at 8 and 9 by default?

TaskBar2=Y:\Programs\Google Chrome_x64\chrome.exe||||||||

we are allowed 0-9 for pin placement numbers
we also pre-assign numbers to certain Apps
We leave those numbers high - so the pin search auto assign location is faster..

even with 8 & 9 as locations - if only 8&9 - really position 1 & 2

Earlier on I tried TaskBar9=Y:\Programs\Google Chrome_x64\chrome.exe||||||||

I thought that it would replace the Explorer icon... at least I would know that it works

but again it did not work and no icon was visible... only the command prompt (TaskBar0) was there...

Selecting Run from RAM did the trick...

Icon is now visible in taskbar...

I guess the program has to be packed in the PE in order for this to work...
