I am new to this forum and I am not a programmer, Linux or otherwise.  I am computer literate with Commodores, Amiga, Windows and Raspberry Pis.

Recently, I sent a computer that I backed up with DriveImage XML to get a camera repaired.  It was returned with a factory image.

My UBCD4WIN DVD doesn't work with Windows 10 to start the restore.  I made a Win10PE with no problem.  DriveImage XML won't work with Windows 10.  My next thought was to make a Win7PE install to run Driveimage XML to restore the drive.

My problem is this.  When I run the software to build the Win7PE, my virus checker alerts and quarantines and/or deletes files and the build stops.  See attached file.

I can' find anywhere to download the GetWAIKTools utility and don't know what to do about the virus alerts.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

DriveImage XML won't work with Windows 10.
Hi Vicky

As far as I'm aware DriveImageXML works using both Win10PE SE and other projects. You don't say what actually error's in your case.
In all projects (W7 W8 and W10) the A/V can erroneously detect several of the files used as problematic and delete them, it's always happened and there are always reports from new starters on the subject, you will find many posts re the problem on this forum for many years. You're required to make an exception to them or pref the whole project folder in your A/V. GetWaikTools is one of those that often gets caught but is absolutely safe.

Hi vicky,

To use most of (%99) PE project as well as Win7PESE you mostly have to disable AV to avoid false positives

UBCD4WIN (PE1) very old days now
I still use Gena (PE1) on my Win10 laptop, problem with your UBCD4WIN should be elsewhere ...
besides life is easier to update after PE1 ... like you are doing with Win7PESE.
There is "DriveImage XML" Plugin that works with Win7PESE for many years now.

@APT
Reminding people with "good will" never do spam advertisement.
As you wrote "Et in terra pax hominibus bonæ voluntatis" http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=246.msg39590#msg39590
It is quite easy to figure out "good will" people and others on forums following things like "spam advertisement" and other things........
You can not see me let any other member fabricate an excuse to spam advertise any project to other project topics, old rule since day one. ("Post Game" hunting)
You are not new around, you know the rest ..........
As life goes learning from the past to get things better, knowing other "not new" members also reading my reply: never again and remove spam advertisement from your reply.
