It took me a long time to figure out how to integrate any drivers at all in Win7PE, but I finally have at least my network driver working. The problem is that no matter how I insert the NVidia driver, it keeps popping up an error about needing an "interactive window station." And I'm even more confused on the audio driver issue. The AudioActivatorPE program just keeps saying there's an error about "side-by-side configuration" being improper or something. Every option I've tried, including adding the NVIDIA drivers to the boot.wim manually using dism seems to have failed.

I'm just wondering if this kind of thing is a low priority and people are mostly just expected to make do with the standard VESA driver and no sound while using the PE? I get the impression that while the option for video and graphics is provided, it's not well-supported and only works in very limited circumstances.

My goal is basically to use the PE as a temporary/portable web browser that I can use on either of two machines (both of which have the GTX 670 and Sound Blaster ZxR). There's plenty of space for anything to run off the RAM disk, because each computer has 32GB of RAM.

I attached the log file generated by the program as a .ZIP because it was about 2MB too big to include as a normal HTML file.

Move up to an OS that provides Better Generic Driver Support...
