At the moment, unless it gets changed, the 20H2 d/l from TechBench doesn't work correctly in PE.

It will build successfully without error, but on launch it will give you black screens, various error messages etc etc

A fix has been created by Kyhi and I guess will be put into the next distro.

**also thanks to SIW2 and ChrisR for their inputs

Hi fgaifen

For the five or six users I know who have tried it, including myself, it has worked first attempt, so you will need to give more details of what you did, or maybe your build log compressed with 7z or both!

2020/10/24 A WimBuilder2 user report the difference for 20h2 ISO.  (a lot of C:\ paths in SOFTWARE hive)
2020/10/25 **yamingw** shared his patch of WimBuilder2 to fix that issue, and upload the RegFind.exe command.
2020/10/25 I updated the fix to github WimBuilder2/master repository.

Commits on Oct 25, 2020
support to build with Windows 10 version 20H2 ISO images
add RegFind.exe

If you watch WimBuilder2 repository, you will got fix for new version very soon.

Code: [Select]
regfind -p HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\tmp_SOFTWARE -y C:\ -r X:\
regfind -p HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\tmp_SYSTEM -y C:\ -r X:\

UUP ISOs needn't this fix. 19042.608 is OK.

It is just a bunch of code, and that is not helpful to you, but someone copied the bunch of code into the CreateISO.script what you downloaded,
and that file worked for you.

I guess that code worked for you too..

Quote
Like when building win7 pe, regfind can be used to change them to X:\ if needed.
regfind.exe -p HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\pe-soft -y C:\ -y -r X:\
regfind.exe -p HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\pe-sys -y C:\ -y -r X:\
