Hello,

I'm new to Gena, so there is a good chance that I have done something wrong.

I'm interested in using SysInternals Process Monitor.

However it would appear that the Procmon driver is not being loaded. First time I try to run ProcMon get error about the driver not being loaded, 2nd time BSOD.

What I have done so far:

- downloaded Gena Meal 2013-07-17
- used download within WinBuilder
- get a message that I need to have 'updates.boot-land.net' to download files (I don't know what to do about this - so have ignored)
- some updates were downloaded anyway
- ticked SysInternals
- built the ISO and tested within VirtualBox

I've added updates.boot-land.net to the list of projects and still get the error message when I goto Downloads.

Hi VeeDub,

Procmon runs ok here
ignore updates.boot-land.net things, it is a result of bad , hardcode programming of current builder we use, not related to project at all
winbuilder download is bugy too , not nice for a new user, especially when downloading fresh new, well life

At home page
http://gena.cwcodes.net/
there is
http://gena.cwcodes.net/Compressed/index.php
where you can get Gena meal nicely  :great: :great:

You will notice
\Apps\System Tools\Debug\"Sysinternals Suite" plugin, as well as "Sysinternals Process Monitor" plugin,
ps: if using "Sysinternals Suite" be sure you select procmon at plugin interface.
using any of 2 plugin will get procmon (tested with last version 3.05) work nicely

See You

Hi Lancelot,

I tried:

- unticking Sysinternals Process Monitor
- within Sysinternals Suite, ticking Process Monitor

Same behaviour as before

- 1st time try to run Process Monitor, driver not found
- 2nd time BSOD (not that this really matters)

Could the source media affect the outcome?

Hi VeeDub,

Weekend time

Hard to catch, but at last I figured out
Apps\Security\"DiskCryptor" cause trouble with Procmon driver,
I just update DiskCryptor plugin on server,
test with new DiscCryptor plugin or just disable old one  :great:
Let us know how it goes

See You

It works until you run DiskCryptor, then BSOD.

I'm not bothered, I don't need DiskCryptor

Here I could not reproduce,
I even encrypt a volume while procmon running
I will postpone untill I can reproduce in future  :great:

I understand you, I see from a maintainer point of view

Hi Kare,

I remember these BSOD problem with Process Monitor and PE1.
But it's hard to find the cause, even with different language of your source it's not the same.

Maybe the older SysInternals tools Filemon.exe and Regmon.exe can be used as replacement for Process Monitor.

Hi Kare,

As JFX mentioned, not news for XPsp2

Aside XPsp3 , you can also use 2k3sp2 source, or if you figure out let us know if you find a fix with XPsp2 source.

Plugins available for regmon and filemon on Yomi
