Hi ChrisR

Thanks for the updated build which I have just tried - fantastic to see you are continuing to develop this great product!!! (especially if it means I can avoid the new improved?!?! winbuilder version on reboot!!)

Couple of questions if you don't mind

1) You say it now uses the Win 8 ADK tools - so it builds faster? unless I have done something odd then cannot see any difference in build speed, about the same as before, all quite quick apart from slow mounting/unmounting using imagex - am I doing something wrong or do I need to enable something else to see these build speed improvements? not a complaint just a query :)

2) partedmagic script fails with error "file size check of pmagic_2013_09_26.iso failed. please check urls etc etc....." ?? any ideas?

Cheers

Thanks  but I'm a little tired, I'm not really good for support and my english does not help me.

After firing on all the old good guys, to be unpleasant or playing with users. They have done much harm to the PE community, they will struggle to reboot.
Regardless ideas, good or not, the starting point seems difficult, by erasing ALL the past (doc, script, developers knowledge).
The name of the builder (Winbuilder) such as the project name (Win7PE), really shows the mindset that prevails. Make the disorder and possibly kill the previous projects such as Win7PE_SE.
... what a mess, we can not go on a project with a lot of rancor behind
I stop or I'll pass for a unpleasant guy

The differences are not large for Mount/UnMount but there is a good gain for the capture (PostConfig script)
I did some performance tests here http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=287.msg9646#msg9646

Yes, I just see, there is a problem for downloading the latest version.
There is only a README file at http://sourceforge.net/projects/partedmagic/files/

I found this right now

Please note that the latest releases of Parted Magic are no longer available as free downloads;
See the download page for information on how to purchase your copy.
It seems that I'll have to update the script.

The latest free version seems to be pmagic_2013_08_10.iso otherwise we must make a Donation, however, well deserved
For now, we must use the option "Use Local ISO file" in the current script

Yes agreed - it used to be good over at reboot until all the "troubles", but at least things continue here with your help

I am always around for any help or testing needed - I use your PE on a daily basis and couldn't do my job without it, so always good to test out new versions, especially when they build on what is good with the existing winbuilder, rather than trying to reinvent it the wrong way like they are doing now over on reboot

Cheers
