Hi Galapo,

here is my test routine on Gena
http://www.mediafire.com/?gbqm7z5zwzvm45u

after Gena boots,
double click change-temp-appdata.reg
double click 3_sendmessagetimeout.cmd
double click 2_echo_temp.cmd
--> short temp path

double click change-temp-localsettings.reg
double click 4_broadcastsystemmessage.cmd
double click double click 2_echo_temp.cmd
--> short temp path

and lots of other variations..... I always get short temp path here, what am I missing. :confused: :turtle:

Steps:

1) Change user temp variable, say 'B:\Documents and Settings\GenaU\Local Settings\Test'
2) Open CMD window and run 'BroadcastEnvChange.exe /broadcast broadcastsystemmessage'
3) Run 'BroadcastEnvChange.exe /broadcast sendmessagetimeout'
3) Open new CMD window and type 'echo %temp% -- you'll see long path
4) Change user temp variable back to 'B:\Documents and Settings\GenaU\Local Settings\Temp'
5) Return to first CMD window and run 'BroadcastEnvChange.exe /broadcast sendmessagetimeout'
6) Run 'BroadcastEnvChange.exe /broadcast broadcastsystemmessage'
7) Open new CMD window and type 'echo %temp% -- you'll see short path

Hopefully!

Regards,
Galapo.

Hi Galapo,

mystery continues, here are steps I just made on picture (+1 pre-step, I create folder first ;))

http://www.mediafire.com/?lk8g7tdcgaatiig

as I write previously, currently I only test with realpc Gena.iso complete ,
when I get to my homepc I will have chance to make emulator tests to find a way to match with your results.
Sometimes slow, :turtle, in the end We always catch them.  :great:

See you.  :cheers:
