Hello folks,

After recently update my Win7PE_SE I've noticed that my x64 builds can't recognize anything stored at PE media (on the Y drive). All shortcuts got no icon and if clicked they say they can't find the path. I have done some research and figured out that my Y drive (the PE media) gets named as F or H and never as Y as it should be. I think it is related to the recent update on "CdDrive - X: - Y:" script to version 8.

Can anybody confirm this issue? I've attached my log for debugging purposes.

Best regards,

Aeolis

I just made a x64 build,
Tested with grub4dos ISO boot,
works ok here.
not tested virtually, not tested real-cd, not tested with 'Copy to USB' -->

@Aeolis
How you boot / test / prepare boot media ... ;)
virtually, real-cd, 'Copy to USB', ISO boot, .... ufd, usbdisk, sdcard, etc .....

this would help ChrisR to debug on which case failure might be hapening.

Tip: Use 'Main Configuration' 'Create Support Log' in future  :thumbsup:

@ChrisR

I feel using such thing
\Win7PESE\Finals\zz_Save_logfile.script
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jpfccibjupi0aik
hopefully make old timers notice  :cool:
(of course with a w7 themed picture  :lol: )
ps: notice only 2 zz, not 3 zzz, to make difference but also similarity , midway I can find :beer:

Hi Aeolis,

Thanks for reporting :thumbsup:

This is corrected, it was a bad variable initialization if imdisk not found. I also added few lines in mountPEmedia.log, written in the %temp% folder.

CDDrive_X_Y.script Version=009 is on w7pese server.

Thank you,

Edit: I Had not seen your Lancelot's answer. Yep, 'Create Support Log'  is indeed always better, for next time :wink:

:cheers:

Hello folks,

Thank you very much Lancelot and ChrisR! :great: I am really sorry that I haven't used "Create Support Log" by deafault until now... :embarrassed: Well, from now on it's checked by default on my builds....

Thank you all again! For future reference, I use the "Copy to USB" script after WinBuilder finishes creating the files inside its target folder. And to test I boot the USB drive on my working machine (I don't like using virtual machines at all....).

Best regards,

Aeolis
