Hi

Just successfully built PE without errors

Copied to USB using usb script and all copied okay - but when I try and boot (on a laptop I know worked fine before) I get

error 0xc000000f - a required device isn't connected or can't be accessed

Any ideas please?

Did you change anything in the UEFI settings (write to USB device)?

no all left as default apart from changing partition sizes as I didn't want 4 partitions, so altered size of 1 and 2 and set 3 and 4 to 0mb

Must be it, then...

I don't know what your partition scheme looks like, but don't you need a hidden system reserved, a boot, and a windows partition? I don't use efi/gpt layout myself, but I guess the problem's in that area. Maybe revert to the previous situation and test.

not sure about it creating hidden partitions for PE - I know a normal install of 8.1 does but not PE as far as I know

The bootice partitioning just seems to default to wanting to divide my external hard drive into 4 equal partitions which I don't want

Originally set partition 1 to 20gb and partition 2 to use rest of space - this gave me the above error

Now done it again using a bigger size for partition 1 and boots okay - so must be a size issue

Sorry, I was completely confused there... The guy in the video was talking about a normal system of course, I got confused with a normal system and a PE. Please forgive me... (that'll teach me trying to do 5 things at once).
