Lancelot suggested in my other thread that we meet here for a chat during what may be his last weekend fully onboard this train.

To be honest, however, i'm really not sure what to chat about.  Since Galapo very kindly helped me to understand the very confused and confusing situation elsewhere (and got himself re-excommunicated there for doing so) I've come here to find out what the so-called "rebels" were actually up to.  And I have read some (not all) of the background posted here.

To me, while I missed almost all of the background events when and where they occured, and I certainly don't pretend to understand all of it, a lot of it looks quite familiar -- in fact, much too familiar.  When the egos and/or personal agendas of people in some kind of authority get bruised by real or imagined slights to that status (no matter how petty it may be) they very often tend to exert whatever discretionary authority they may possess in a way that they believe refutes its perceived belittlement.

As I said in another comment here, most people are able to accomodate and even embrace a wide range of viewpoints without incurring personal animosity.  Unfortunately, some people can't.  Simple as that really.  And it's the ones who can't who are ultimately the losers.  I'm not sure if there's much else to be said about it.

Hi Arvy,

Not everybody have sense or time to check around what we are actually up to.
"rebels" is not a word to define our position, but I know where it comes from, "StarCraft Rebel Alliance"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebel_Alliance
It is too much honor to be called as rebel following the story, but reality (maybe sad reality) is we are not.

One should be crayz or annoyed highly (or to get FREEDOM and FUN back with whole heart, like us ) to establish a brand new project from ground 0 when there are existing ones to contribute, and establish a new forum (Thanks to Galapo), working hard to get things tidy and smooth...
The_Shawshank_Redemption represents our position better, FREEDOM
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shawshank_Redemption
Well, we did not dug with the rock hammer over the last 19 years, but in 1 year we could reach the FREEDOM and FUN back again, along with FLEXIBILTY bonus .
The Poster represents my feelings nicely when Gena first went to public.   :magic:

And imagine what would be my feeling when there are other builder script engines around with Gena using one of them.  :w00t:

It is very hard for anyone who do not read forums everyday, and even if he reads, still hard if one do not know wb syntax fully, to figure out posters positions, because of forum-games............ (Full part of glass, Galapo and I widely learned the methodology of internet-forum-gamings on defense side (+differences between real word), which lets us understand people better, in very past both of us (at least I am) were very naive because of our "sharing" goals with good intentions..... my luck always is, meeting Galapo first )

Main Story is already well described by you above, I asked you to open this topic, so you can freely ask questions about "what/why had happened at this, at there etc..." with more focus & details if you are willing to understand things left in your mind.

See you.

I suppose that would be the truly significant outcome as I see it.  My mind isn't really troubled by any  important doubts or questions that I feel the need to ask about preceeding events or their motivations.  I'm sure that other people will continue to characterize them in various ways for their own various reasons, most of which have much more to do with human nature than with any core issue or technical consideration.  I, on the other hand, am chiefly interested in those latter development-related concerns and most especially about what the future may hold for their evolution.

Anyhow, whatever the "rebellion" or "redemption" may be called by others, it's the end results in which I am most interested.  And I wish you the very best of good luck with your own future endeavours, regardless of the path you may choose to pursue.  I only hope that you'll continue to "hang around" and make an occasional contribution as time permits.  It would be most unfortunate to lose your valuable input completely.

Illegitimi non carborundum:thumbup:

most especially about what the future may hold for their evolution.

on Gena side, even if we do not update today (and I am pretty sure Galapo continue), it is quite stable as a rock can be,
and provides all pe building tasks opensource, it fully opens gates to any future developers to maintain or bend (flexibiitty) in any way he/she likes (a new project (another au3 one on the way I guess), continue Gena, "My Gena Collection" or....)

on script builder side, whatever should be opensource if my vote count possible, even if not if such script builder fits the needs we look for Gena, it can be used to get rid of current one happly  Well all further decisions will be made by Galapo on that, and I trust his judgement, only writing my opinion.

on The Oven side it is Galapo's forum, as much as my life time and income helps, I will put as much as possible to keep forum alive with easy downloadable links (without requiring login) and without advertisements.

Rest is up to people, who previously or newly know us, and decide to put something in forum environment here. It never be our concern counting click-member numbers, but only a place to share things tidly about things we like, with open invitation of using forum format instead of blog etc..

a nice dream is a real good programmer interested into developing script builder, finding us and asking what is required.

Start of current forum was a replacement to email traffic in order to get tidy development, later it evolved into a better organised forum with well defined goals, later turned to a better forum name. I had never thought future would be like here today 1 year ago when we decided to start a new project where everthing started with emails, so I can say future is bright to us as long as, even at minimum 1 individual around sharing things s(h)e found, which maybe useful to any google (etc.) searchers, which is enough to me.

Above is my perspective about things, final decisions are all Galapo's.  :1st:

I wonder if Mickeysoft's own Windows PowerShell might open up any possibilities.  Not exactly "open source", but readily available.  It doesn't seem to be very well documented, however.

Windows PowerShell

Built on the .NET Framework
does not open up any possibilities for us.......

yep we could use cmd as main build-script-engine, and plugins as au3 scripts, but it has other troubles we did not want to deal with but verrrrry useful idea for other projects, practiced nicely by saydin77 before

in anyway, there will be other build-script-engines around, I see future bright  only time required...
