Hi All,

I have built Win10pese using 1803. I am unable to map drives in PE Network Manager. I've tried multiple version of network manager. I have tried to add mrxsmb10.sys to the windows\system32\drivers folder (while checking the options in the network plugin). I'm not sure what is going on.
If I choose a drive letter, path, user, and password in the "network drives tab of PE network manager it returns the error: "Invalid remote path". If I add it under the browse networks option, it adds it in the windows to the right then asks for user name and password when I click it. It then returns: "A specified logon session does not exist. It may have already been terminated."
This is to a simple password protected share on a non-domain joined NAS connecting by IP address. I can ping this IP address in PE network manager fine as well. All other network functions work great as far as I can tell.

Any ideas to try would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Drakkn,

can you enable Components\"Remote Desktop Connection" Plugin and test again.

+
If failure
Also test with enabled:
Components\"Remote Desktop Connection" Plugin
Finals\"Logon as Admin" Plugin

Let us know your results....

I already had the Remote Desktop connection added.

Adding the administrator user fixed the issue though. Thank you very much for your help!

I believe/thought that Bob.Omb added the patched .dll process to the RDC Plugin if System Account

Edit:
He did Via "Patch: Windows.UI.CredDialogController.dll" Checkbox
Although not sure "Logon As Admin" required - if Patched > as Noted...

As far as I know I am using the most recent version of the builder and plugins. I keep them both updated.

However, under the Remote Desktop plugin there is a patch option that was checked but I did not activate the admin plugin as it said was required. It states " Patch: Windows.UI.CredDialogController.dll   Patch: requires Admin Plugin (No need admin account)."
also:
"Connections with Network Level Authentication  *NLA Support requires login as admin"

I had both of those checked (I guess they were by default) but I did not add that plugin.

So adding the admin plugin may have made that patch work, that you are talking about, according to that note.

So, I have been playing around with the Logon as admin plugin. It did solve my problem of mapping drives. I'd like the function it mentions about switching between the administrator account and being in the system account like usual. I can't seem to get it to work or I don't know how maybe. I enabled the checkboxes for showing an icon for switching on the desktop and start menu but it isn't showing up. If I switch user it only gives me the option of logging back into administrator. If it doesn't work then it isn't a huge deal because the other option of a delay and choosing it on the menu before it loads the desktop does work. I was hoping I was just missing something.

Hi Drakkn,

"Logon As Admin" Plugin highly improved and changed by Bob.Omb

Maybe Bob.Omb missed a Plugin setting to boot as System or maybe other things.....

I currently do not know the details of this plugin ... Better wait Bob.Omb around.

Since most are at very busy time of the year, while waiting, a comment:
Overall Auto "Logon as admin" is good for end user.
If ever you need, you can start applications as System under Admin account.
eg.
You can start Q-Dir with System privileges under Admin.
Right click Q-Dir shortcut and select "RunAsSystem (NSUDO)"

Thanks! Yes it is not a critical thing. I just thought it was a good feature and figured I was probably missing something. No rush here, maybe Bob.Omb can comment when he gets time. In the meantime everything is working great otherwise. Thanks again!
