Hi.

Hopefully somebody can help me. About 2 years ago I bulit a Win10PE with the builder and this system is working without problems with WIFI with 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ. Connecting via PE Network Manager is no problem.

WIFI adapter is a Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controler.

When I now want to create a new Win10PE system, I can not connect anymore to a 2.4GHZ network, I don't get connection to the network. Router is not possible, hotsport via Android Handy or Ipad is also not possible. Connecting to my 5GHZ network works fine.

All this in the non admin environment. When I boot my old system it still works with 2.4GHZ.

Anybody an idea what I can do?

Thanks a lot.

Regards Lulu

What have you done differently between these two bulids ?
- different source including x86 / x64
- missing custom WiFi driver for 2.4 Ghz
- maybe it's nonsense, the adapter operation mode (Auto / 2.4 GHz Only / 5 GHz Only)
- definitely check it is M$ or original Marvell driver

Hi.

Thanks for your reply.

The thing is, everything was still in place from my old built. So I just started WinBuilder again and did the same built again with the same Windows Version. The result is the problem with WIFI 2.4GHZ.

Then I put back my old image and this is working. No problem with 2.4GHZ. I checked driver version of the Marvell, both the same.

Then I got the new version of Win10PESE and Win 10PXE and tried these. All the same, 2.4GHZ not working.

I have no idea what causes this problem. When I enter my wifi password you can see how it tries to connect to wifi several times very quick, but it can not connect.

I will try a build with the newer Marvell drivers you posted.

Maybe, just maybe,
in PENetwork set not to select profile automatically > manual select,
same for select SSID and manual pass enter.

That could show what's going on.
Later you can easily return to the automatic, if you have it.

do you mean before building within Winbuilder or later after boot of the system?

You mean, now it works ?
If so, I'm glad we solved the problem.

It is commonly known that M$ mess up with drivers.
