Hi Bob,
Greetings.
Very sorry  if i am asking irrelevant question through this channel. But i hope you can help me!.

Can i ask to create a plugin for citrix receiver,??

So that i can use it in WIN10 PE build. Or please help me with your ideas to achieve this, I tried with create a  citrix receiver portable.exe app with CAMEYO and make a plugin with it. But i failed.
My Idea is when we try to access a  citrix desktop, it will download *.ica file and can be opened by citrix receiver.

Citrix receiver link https ://downloads.citrix.com/14726/CitrixReceiver.exe?__gda__=1539805506_de31eb8939527b329593a6ef1c5a98fb
SDK and other tools available at https ://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/windows/receiver-for-windows-latest.html

Many thanks !!

hi chittimotu,
I am very interested in Citrix receiver. I downloaded its latest version of "citrixreceiver.exe".
I can now install it in my WinPE 1803. Installation seems OK ( see picture ).
But I can't test the connection because I don't have the server infrastructure (I don't have a powerful enough machine).
Do you know how I can get access for some tests? ( access by IE and access by receiver.exe ?)
Thank you

Dear noelBlanc,

Verry sorry for late reply! And it's very Greatfull to hear that thwere is a working plugin for citrix.
for testing citrix connection we need to connect a citrix server . But unfortunately i don't have a test server to provide details with you. i will use it to connect my office dektop. but those are production servers and i can't share deails here.
Can i ask you to sahre your plugin with me , so i can check and update you status with screenshots..

Thank you!

He did not use a plugin to add it he booted into PE and ran the installer.

It seems you will only need to create a basic plugin, and that there are likely not a lot of requirements.

I won't have time to look at it until this weekend myself but hopefully someone can help before then...

and that there are likely not a lot of requirements.
When you have time here are some head start:
I feel "CitrixReceiver Setup" plugin would be easy and good solution to keep updates.
+
PC Packed
1) CitrixReceiver.7z
2) CitrixReceiver.exe
Add 'Provide File' Option
3) Gooo
+
requires Components\MSI Installer (better write interface ;) )
+
I can not get CitrixReceiver.exe start installation !
workaround:
extract CitrixReceiver.exe with 7z to a folder (notice warning) and use
TrolleyExpress.exe
to install.
--> there are some warning during installation that requires inspection (procmon) which may also help CitrixReceiver.exe start installation
+
maybe TrolleyExpress.exe have unattend switch, not tested....

*
Additional info:
+
CitrixReceiver.exe /Extract C:\1Test
not working.
+
bug reports also exists Citrix related forums unattended installation not working... (maybe chittimotu can provide more info about installation)
+
I can now install it in my WinPE 1803.
since noelBlanc use own pe, without knowing "before and now", that is all for now.

further all on your hands bob.omb

hi,
When I tried to install the Citrix receiver, I did not encounter any particular problems with the installation. But that is not to say that the function would be assured. And as I could not test for lack of server infrastructure, I did not explain this first step.
Too bad it is impossible for me to access a remote Citrix sandbox
I'm not rich enough for that.
So if someone wants to give me a gift, it could provide me with an account and a password on a Citrix server (via PM or email).
An account without a right is enough for me since it is the connection that matters at first.

hi bob.omb,
in November I used this link :
https://www.citrix.fr/downloads/citrix-receiver/windows/receiver-for-windows-latest.html
It is also active today
I don't remember anything about the installation but it was simple for the one first investigation (launch install and ok to connect to a server)

hi,
For the fun !!!

Many work to do. Only a test at this time.

If a understand, there is two product in receiver:
-one with a navigator, not big to install but complex to identify components : iexplorer.exe for me in 64bits
-and some think and heavy but i don't know how to use it : receiver.exe with sound, usb, etc.

i can connect to citrix with iexplorer.exe from session system and session ADM
When i launch receiver.exe, it jumps in my opened sesion ADM.
it asks to "add account" but i don't know what to do is this screen
i can launch receiver.exe only one time because there is a process in ram:
"receiver.exe -disablerelaunch"  (user = administrator)
but i launch it in system session
surprise ! I kill it.... launch again from system session....and it opens the dialog in my opened session administrator

So, a long way to isolate the two process ( extension navigator or full client ).
2 or 3 minutes to install from "citrixreceiver.exe" installer. And a new citrix product is coming soon ( i forget its new name)
So i think it's more simple to create a plugin in this way

i understood that you opned apps and desktop inside iebrowsr insted of receiver. it means citrix  browser integration missing here ,thats why it's opened in IE brouser.

but our requirement is it should open in citrix receiver in full screen mode!! you can try this way. please follow screenshots..

it's ok with receiver in my windows 10 "normal" computer.

So, installation in winpe is wrong.  :embarrassed:
I'll search in logs....
I list process in memory with taskmgr and compare with winpe (remote session adm) : many differences with processes citrix.
I try to compare .... but i must restart the two pc before.

Long way and maybe (perhaps) the "account" citrix closed before i find somethings
Sorry for my poor english.

at this time :
When I type the name of the Citrix Server, no dialog box is displayed so I can enter the ID and password.
So i can test actually without an account.
This dialog box is displayed by the main components of Internet Explorer.
All Citrix programs in "CitrixReceiver" are 32 bits.
I use only winpe 64 bits. So, i copied many and many files 32 bits in my winpe 64bits.
I think that the best platform for testing is a winpe 32bits.
I found a Citrix log with :
Quote
Time: Tue Jan  8 20:19:30 2019 UTC
LocalTime: Tue Jan  8 21:19:30 2019
Type: Warning
Module: Citrix Primary Authenticator
Location: X:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\AuthManager\PrimaryAuthModule.exe
Version: 12.2.0.18007 (Release)
Platform: Windows 10.0.9200 64-bit  SP Version: 0.0 SuiteMask: 256 ProductType: 1 IE: 11.55.17763.0
Description: Unexpected protocol was received from the server.
Exception type: Protocol exception
Detail: CAGLegacyAuthImpl: a form was found to be invalid by the UI module: The label content is not valid: 'User name:'
Context:
   During CAGLegacyAuthImpl::Authenticate to Gateway='https-url-withheld'; current URL='https-url-withheld'
I build a winpe 32 only if i don't find a way in 64 bits. Yes i am  :frusty:
Tomorrow :  i make a refresh installation and test again
The Prerequisites : 32 bits, dot4.0, directx, Adm Session, InternetExplorer ( not iexplorer.exe but main components like mshtml, ierutil, urlmon ...)
A long way ...

PS : why "receiver" and not "IE" ( or an other navigator) ?
« Last Edit: January 10, 2019, 03:06:13 PM by noelBlanc, Reason: dotnet4.0 really used »

Well, good news from "citrix receiver".

In my winpe 64 bits :
I can install "citrix receiver" from the file "citrixreceiver.exe" in the "system" session : a few minutes
At the end, it opens a windows "Add Account" in the "administrator" session
and now, the dialog box is displayed and i can enter the id/password.
But "account" is closed. I'm too slow.
So, i can't make all tests. :embarrassed:

Some notes :
i added 49 files, almost 75Mo for 32bits programs.
it seems to me that some configuration files ( one is wfclient.ini) are created/modified during the work of installer "TrolleyExpress.exe"
Can these modifications be placed in other computer with different hardware ( video, ….) ? i don't know, nor if it is important
I don't know what is the work of "Dxsetup.exe". Its Log file (x:\windows\logs\directx.log) says :
Quote
01/09/19 09:48:11: dsetup32: CheckForManagedDX(): .NET Framework 1.0 - 3.5 is not available, Managed DirectX is not installed.
01/09/19 09:48:12: dsetup32: DXCheckTrust(): X:\windows\TEMP\CTX-3A~1\Extract\dxupdate.cab is trusted.
01/09/19 09:48:12: dsetup32: GetCDXUpdate(): Extracting dxupdate.dll from X:\windows\TEMP\CTX-3A~1\Extract\dxupdate.cab.

01/09/19 09:48:13: dxupdate: DXCheckTrust(): X:\windows\TEMP\CTX-3A~1\Extract\Jun2010_d3dx9_43_x86.cab is trusted.
01/09/19 09:48:13: dxupdate: Extracted file X:\windows\TEMP\DXBB49.tmp\JUN2010_d3dx9_43_x86.inf from cab
01/09/19 09:48:13: dxupdate: GetDXVersion(): Unable to get RC string from registry, now RC is 0.

01/09/19 09:48:13: dxupdate: Extracted file X:\windows\TEMP\DXBB49.tmp\d3dx9_43_x86.cat from cab
01/09/19 09:48:13: dxupdate: Extracted file X:\windows\TEMP\DXBB49.tmp\d3dx9_43_x86.inf from cab
i don't know if it important.

i find only one added driver: ctxusbm
Modifications in Registry: too many but it is possible to identify them (a bit time)

So, next step is : connect with a good Id/password.
So, if chittimotu can active "citrix" for a other day, it will be good.

Two pictures:
