You could always make a "Download Optional Member Plugins" utility plugin, that uses the links from within the thread "Optional Member Plugins" OP here, and have it download them and place the plugins into the builder folders..

Is there any way to find out how much space each checked item I main configuration?

For instance network additions, audio support etc?.

Deselect all Core features - Build - make ISO or record "target" folder size
add additional feature - Build - make ISO or record "target" folder size
Etc..

Hi Chris,

Better write here:
Win10XPE has grown up now, it is stable, simple, fast and complete (Not only to sell it but what I really think).
It has now a small success, Also. And it should be able to live without me and without too much change, I believe.

If it is the idea behind "without me and without too much change" :
Better not to waste space with most of \Win10XPE\Projects\MyPlugins\Apps\ ....
+ I am very sure James need updates all the time which requires zip updates .... (including: delete xpeplugin move xpeplugin replace xpeplugin)
+ and zip will get small like LiveSystemPro, like WimBuilderUI, like SE without apps, Gena Appetizer ...
+ and things will go with your words "without me and without too much change" without your requirement of zip update.
--> I am sure James can create a Win10XPE-AddON.....zip for updates etc. and update frequently....

On my side, It will be good to download small core project.

Anyway, only sharing ideas following your post.

It was originally made with a small core project before evolving.

Then, as the principle was a project with only few choices and Build,
It seemed good to me for end-users, those who don't have time to dig deeper, to have a quite complete construction with some free apps in different categories (browser, imaging, partition...).  And staying within a reasonable size
It should make users want to go further if they wish to.

But it may be nice to have both, probably, as it was done with Win7pese, with the core and a more extended package.

I'm going to publish an update for OSKTray and I have to go out.

--> I am sure James can create a Win10XPE-AddON.....zip for updates etc. and update frequently....
Please Explain --> AddON.....zip for updates

Before we could create servers and upload buttons, people were creating plugin packages and Amalux was famous at that times.
Amalux dealing with his addon package and we were focusing on project core development.
Even at http://theoven.org people recreate plugins (7zip etc.) and after they build they sometimes share around their plugins with a big package. (mediafire)
(I guess sometime before you happened very rarely...)

I know hard situation you are facing, you have increasing number of plugins and increasing number of updates...
When you get plugins inside projects ready, project gets bigger and bigger. (Gena became 300MB and more in the past...)
With a zip distributed project, team work becomes harder which you face now (we solved that on Gena & SE with upload buttons)

A path is like Amalux way (we also use follow Amalux way with Win7PESE and Gena-Sweets in the past)
Keep project smaller -> That is ChrisR part
and have an addon package -> That is James part.

eg.
Chris create Win10XPE_2018-12-15.7z
and you create Win10XPE_AddOn_2019-01-04.7z
since
Win10XPE_AddOn_2019-01-04.7z will also extract to same \Win10XPE\ folder project will simply get updated.

ps:
another name idea
Win10XPE_James_Update_2019-01-04.7z
It is hard to decide name: AddOn or Update or....

This way, Chris can keep project smallest possible which will gain him time and small size to us and you can get updates regularly.
A special adjustment can be also made both only you and Chris post to same Win10XPE Announcement topic if you both agree.
(like Bob.Omb and Lancelot http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=2594.0)
This way public will follow both Chris and James updates. (public follows Announcement topics I learn from Chris in the past)

==>
Just to clarify, this does not change my thought about you.
But as I wrote before, PE is PE and solutions to next steps are always same
But it may be nice to have both, probably, as it was done with Win7pese
Yes all same path same ideas, only changed is "G", PE is always PE ....
well you are doing circle development, you have to re create known solutions to known problems. (Advise: get better with history)
eg. like Plugin --> XPEPlugin which will later require more work to get exact same things with current Macro Library in time.
(if you can go all the circle path, you will get same things with current SE/Gena and Macro Library ..)

*
to reclear my goal:
On my side, It will be good to download small core project.

OK.. That I understand...

Truth is I do Have A Plugin AddOn Zip For Current XPE Project Release...
ChrisR a while back added Folder.project to accommodate this AddOn - Although It was only revealed recently...
And I have Recently Submitted Project Updates - Via PM - For ChrisR to review..

I Have Shared All Plugins With ChrisR - ChrisR Then Decides - If to Included With Project Release or if to Include as Project Feature..
Thus Making Plugin Depicted as Now Project Feature..

Chris and I Share This Way By Date... We share Ideas, Methods, Results, Appearance - This is the way We Synch..

Now I do catch a lot of updates or error reports - so corrections may appear in OMP topic..
Once Implemented into Project By Chris - then Attachment removed from OMP...

Plugins where designed to be easily updated by User.. Maybe By changing a variable first, but mostly by hitting a button to Update Container..
Yes at some point an update MAY break a plugin (ATI2019) due to an internal Program File Change - Requiring Plugin To be Updated..

Distribution File Size (Forum Attachment Size) - Is the reason for AutoUpdate Plugin Feature...

From what you wrote:

I expect a very small
Win10XPE_2019-XX-XX.7z
(with all core features including James directx plugins etc. = all things you get from source + some small numbered apps)
with probably
Win10XPE_2019-XX-XX_AddOn_2019-XX-XX.7z
on Chris zip distribution page.

XX I mean eg.

Win10XPE_2018-12-15.7z
Win10XPE_2018-12-15_AddOn_2019-01-04.7z

which would mean AddOn created for Win10XPE_2018-12-15.7z

=> just an idea for naming to get things tidy enough for all.

Anyway, time will show... :turtle:

hmm, Win7PE_SE_Small_xxxxxxxx.7z has never been a success. I prefer to wait for quieter times before creating myself extra work.
By the way, looks good, no one complained. I just saw that it was no longer on Win7PE SE download page.

Again a math trouble with comparing banana with apple....

WinXPE distribution is not same with Win7PESE distribution, comparing is quite wrong.

From distribution perspective:
Win7PESE Small =~ Gena Small --> I agree not success.
Win7PESE =~ Gena Meal --> I agree to success. (small numbered of essential Apps )
WinXPE =~Gena Sweets --> Gena Sweets was causing frequent zip update since many apps frequently updated. Gena Sweets package deprecated. Instead an Add on package used for a long while. (with Gena-Sweets folder without interrupting other projects unlike xpe )

ps:
I just download latest Win10XPE, looking apps remind me old Gena package (current Gena Meal + Sweets package),
It does not look like Win7PESE.   :whistling:

on WinXPE distribution, increasing number of apps will require more frequent zip update,
like we had with old Gena package (Gena Sweets) but not with SE
see reply 530 531 (and some more after a while distribution updated)
   http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=2488.msg30611#msg30611
ps:
FireFox do not need a "plugin update" to get latest, but It will not be same with all apps on your "container apps" "download at first run" app distributions.
( In reality nothing changed, either files downloaded to a container plugin or a folder, If weblink changes plugin need to be updated. )

Rest details about the subject on my previous posts. Please read them again.

Anyway, PE is PE, (eg. cmd.exe having %SystemRoot% -> %GSystemRoot% does not change other experiences with cmd.exe),
Your post shows It seems to be early to share experience since you seem to not feel troubles for now,
Besides I am sure in the end (we made after some years) you will do similar going on the same path.
Circle development: one way or another always go to the same directions or motivation lost during the path. Most important: very valuable time lost.

Hi ChrisR

Thank you very much for the update. I am very happy to be able to download the first update of 2019. The project is reaching a high level of personalization.

Newer (Current) FF versions do not have sound in XPE with web videos
Thus older version used.

Minor update in the same dated package 2019-01-07.
Only cosmetic, Tab "PENetwork IE11 Options" becomes "Network Options"
