Gena Update

To get updated/syncronised:
Most secure way is using a seperate download folder to syncronise with server,
This is The Method used by all good modular developments I know. (ex: Check ReactOS development, these guys are great ;))
and with Share Link things become much more easier.


Follow:

Put following blexactserver.exe to your download folder

C:\Gena_Download\blexactserver.exe will download here

ps: when first doubleclicked, it will open a notepad summerizing which updates will be made, close notepad to continue

note: If you previously download one of Gena Official Package, extract to C:\Gena_Download\

to build, use a seperate folder:
ex:
C:\Builder\
==> your project(s) (winbuilder.exe and other projects here)

a batch file at C:\Builder\ to reset Gena project files ;)
C:\Builder\1_Reset_Xcopy_Gena.cmd

and in order not to delete your scripts during reset/update (ex: acronis)
use Gena\Tools\"Share Scripts",
on wb interface -->Click "Open 'My Scripts' folder" button,
put your personal scripts under ........\AppsMy\ folder
ex:
..\Projects\MyScripts\AppsMy\HD Tasks\Imaging\Acronis.script
Click 'Get Links From' button where 'MyScripts' selected





After things ready, getting syncronised will go this way:
1) downloading updates with C:\Gena_Download\blexactserver.exe
2) doubleclick C:\Builder\1_Reset_Xcopy_Gena.cmd
3) open C:\Builder\Winbuilder.exe and Gena\Tools\Share Scripts --> Click 'Get Links From' button
This way, you fully syncronised with server very easly.

The Gena  Download fails every time.. throws up an error..

Yes, I'm getting the same error too. I think some error has occured with a recent upload Lancelot has made. He'll fix this once he catches what has gone on.

This time  not my fault  , project server   

As old pc users, first thing you should do would be trying again  .


Debug:
blexactserver.exe opens a notepad providing list of downloads before starting download,
if number of items on this list do not lower at 2nd, 3rd trial, than %99 project fault , or %1 there is active upload on server.
If you get updates.ini not downloaded, connection to server totally lost.

I am proud to say, project fault not happens much, maybe total 10 times in past 2 years. 


Story:
To test I made a clean download today,
blexactserver have some features to overcome this thingy,
one of them: having connection attempt 5,
which I notice from watching taskbar popup notes, fix some download failures nicely on many downloads  , but not all   
well, after I get error in the end of blexactserver.exe, I run blexactserver.exe 2nd time, and it downloaded all rest poping up success.

Further, I increase connection attempt to 9 and upload to first post, if this reported again next step would be increasing Wait Seconds .

Practically, once you have downloads, and you use blexactserver to update in time, this not happen so far.

I knew you would know what was going on. It was either a failed upload, or like what the real reason was, upload in progress and we were just attempting to update at the wrong time.

A bug with myapps.. whenever I put any apps in their I keep getting error out of resources when attempting to build.
