Thanks James, now you're getting it!

Yes, it has a long way to go, it's just a first version of a new "way of thinking": using a new builder (PEBakery), that's still in active development (for example: the great new internal Wim-handling commands) and using Wim inject/ extract instead of mounting/ dismounting (slower).
This project has no "false pretensions" at all, we know we have to build (pun intended) this from the ground up...

...You should not be promoting another project here at TheOven - my thoughts....
With all due respect there are multiple projects and builders promoted here at TheOven - a public forum. This is another project - for the new PEBakery builder. An alternative for those that want to use it to create a minimalist WinPE.

This project is not intended to replace anything - all projects have something to offer and end users are free to use whichever they want. Surely more choice is a positive? Without development there would be no PESE projects - we'd perhaps still be using BartPE.

It's been fun being involved in the project development and it is intended to be fun to use. Feedback is always welcome.

...The ChrisPE files where uploaded to github by MistyPE
MistyPE uses scripts and reference txt file....
MistyPE is a project - not a person. The new ChrisPE project shares some common code and approaches with MistyPE, however it is a project in it's own right coded for use with PEBakery. It's intended to be more of a community maintained project and not dependent on any one person.

...theoven PESE Projects has the file dependices in the plugin...
And script writers are free to use this approach. I prefer not to for my own reasons and do not like embeding programs in scripts. Both approaches can be used in the same project due to the flexibility of the underlying build engine and the fantastic work of ied206/Joveler.

all one line
lines all run together...

OH,
another program required..
Notepad not good enough..
The original files were compatible with notepad prior to the upload. This is a github issue and is not due to the project. github appears to replace with linux style line-breaks which are not compatible with notepad. You can always use wordpad.

TheOven easy to use and follow using standard windows and reading skills.....
Sorry - I do not understand this. Please clarify.

ChrisPE seems to be credit to ChrisR for his PESE project
But also misleading as not a project by Chris
Sorry if the name is misleading. Something for the PEBakery Team to think about. The naming of the project is a recognition of all of the work that ChrisR has done and is intended as a tribute to him and all of his time and effort.

So this is a NEW PE Project...
By the PEBakery Team...
As a tribute to a PESE Author..

Your project has a long way to go, to compare to all that TheOven has done..
I agree that it has a long way to go, however it is hopefully a stable base from which to build. And if anyone is interested in assisting with development then please get involved.

And please have fun with the project/builder.  Hitting the Build button and having a bootable .iso in a less than a minute still brings a big smile to my face.

Kind regards,

Misty

Fantastic work, for a first release it is looking and working very well for me

Just ignore all the negative comments (and people), most of us here and on the other forums really appreciate what you are trying to achieve and will continue to provide support, testing time and feedback as needed

Hi
Finding it hard to believe the build times, really helps when testing stuff
For me on a Win7x64 (7601) host and build source of Win10.0.16299  x64 it's taking 51secs.

btw  the difference between initial and subsequent builds seems to be down to the time taken
to read the initial confirmation window, after that you just click YES without reading

Thanks to my good Friend Misty who kindly provided me for an space on his place to upload this packs, it is my pleasure to announce there are new scripts available to complement ChrisPE project:

The downloads are two packages:

Scripts Free Applications Pack containing 23 scripts for very useful applications

Scripts Proprietary Applications Pack containing 4 scripts for software you must own and provide by yourself and/or have the appropriate Licence from Author in order to be able to run them, this are:

The good old CalculatorPlus - from MS, It is in this category also because MS do not provide a link to download it anymore, I made this script for myself, I have it since long time ago and  thought some other people may have it too.  (It can run from XP to 10).

Ghost - The excelent tool from Symantec for backup (image),  and clone disks and partitions

Ghost Explorer - The explorer for Ghost images from Symantec.

Acronis TrueImage 2018 - The excelent tool from Acronis for backup (image), and clone disks and partitions.

I have to publicly thank Atai800XL for his support, on the realization of this script. He gave all the ideas and knowhow. I only make the code. For that reason he deserves to be mentioned first as author.

I want all you to know I never before made a single script in my life, I started on this fantastic team as tester and translating the excelent PEBakery Manual to spanish (finished up to date), and only translating learned how to read and understand the scrips code, then taking Misty scrips as a guide I was able to modify one script from MistyPE tu run in ths project and then I started doing mine.

I tell you all this only to let you know that making scripts for this project is not very complicated, If I did it, anybody can do it.

Link has changed to:

Links were updated on previous post.

Sorry for the inconvenience but it was a typo on Chris name on previous link, caused by a typo on folder on download site, and as this project is a tribute to this Great developer, it was unforgivable have that mistake,  hope you understand, also as I'm not able to modify my previous post, this all I can do.

All feedback is welcome

maybe the PE should call BakeryPE(creating win7~win10 version's bread, and strong relation with PEBakery)
good to see it have first version(with winxshell),midway worked version before explorer shell fixed.

for me I want to the see the NEW script syntax(even not script-style) than the PE, now you create a PE, you may know
what is the better "build config/script" code for creating PE and make revolution from the WB82 syntax.

for the repository should move the binary out of it, or with exe updating, the clone repository will be large.
create a PEBakeryRelease repository, and use gitmodules to update them.

None of this New Project hosted at theoven.

seems funny how certain members here only post in this topic...

Promoting MistyPE using the Name of a PESE Author..

even more funny is the bashing of this forum in their other forum posts..

Maybe you guys can support PESE, as is the theme of this forum...

Again the project being talked about here is not all that...

Hi alacran

many thoughts come to me, but one issue at a time.
With HWiNFO plugin, because of the webget error (no such file or dir exists) you get a 'build stopped by error'
I think with a minor plugin like this (non critical), a warning message would suffice, allowing the build to continue.

Thanks for the info, I will take care of this ASAP.

EDIT: Just checked download link coded, and for an unknown reason the file is not available, obviously it was there when I ran several tests , perhaps they are updating the version. I will check deeper and let you know, about your suggestion, I'll take care of that too.

@APT

Just went to the download page and in fact there is a new version brand new is v5.74, so thats the reason why it wasn't downloaded.

I'll make the required changes, or maybe encode it to avoid this problem as it seems program updates are very frecuent.

When ready will be available as a single download, and also the package will be updated. And of couse I'll send you a PM.

Once again thanks for your comment.

Hi alacran
was just about to mod my post with same info, just edited plugin to reflect v574 and works ok now
would be ideal to change plugins with frequently updated apps as you suggest

Hi alacran / Atari800xl
with plugins that have the software included in the plugin/script, how are you
encoding the app? It may be me being daft, but can't see the interface to achieve it,
maybe you use PEBuilder and cut/paste the code until PEBakery has it's own?

@APT

Package of free applications updated, also an individual download for HWINFO is available for download, and a note: HWINFO.txt is available explaining the reason of this issue and have some info for download and apply it.

The application is now encoded to avoid this issue, because this software is frequently updated.

Of course it can be done the way you said, but PEBakery has a command to do this, AFAIK the PEBakery Editor is scheduled for next beta.

Hey, JFX, thank you so much for the kind words!! I was wondering all this time what your opinion about it was (I know you gave some hints already by PM some time ago), so I'm really happy to see your "blessing"...

Of course, your help on "tough" topics would really be appreciated, so hopefully you can drop some hints here and there if needed?
