it appears it came from the Intel HD graphics driver (which is not needed anyway).
Intel HD driver integration is a tough one. I managed to get it working once - for Win7PESE running an unusual resolution for a notebook.
If the resolution is regular, e.g. full hd, it should work out of the box.

Yes, it works out of the box, so there is no need for the Intel HD driver. It looks, though, that the brightness control keys do not work without it, and the screen is always at the brightest setting. Not a big problem, but a little annoying.

I just want another browser (Iron appears to be a good choice, but it does not start up and throws an error) - I will investigate further.
Which script did you try?

I tried the one directly from your thread here: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=340.0. Didn't work.
Also tried the Firefox plugin from the same thread, but it didn't work either - gave me a XPOPEN could not be loaded error, when built without Flash, or even failed during the build when it tried to import Flash from the host system (which works on the host without any problem).

So, is there another plugin for Iron or Firefox or Chrome that I could try?

I used to maintain an Iron script, too, but got pissed off due to
recent decisions taken by Google's developers. (I intended to make it more versatile, like
my Firefox universal script, but Google made their browser more and more "stupid".)

IMO, a browser in a PE is of little use if personalisation is completely lacking (bookmarks,
add-ons, plug-ins, passwords, settings). And that's the biggest nuisance using crummy
browser scripts floating around...

I fully agree. At least an adblocker extension and bookmark import must work to make me happy with a browser. And of course scrolling - which does not work in Opera (a total dealbreaker!).

I suggest using the dedicated thread for issues on Iron or Firefox.
