Hmmm, would be nice to know how to use it?

Pretty exciting, nonetheless..

You simply double click on the exe while in winpe x64

Well, of course you will need a populated Syswow64 folder.

JFX, so you can confirm it does work?
(Then why isn't there any more excitement?)

Please tell us how to populate the SysWow64 folder.
Or... maybe if you confirm the principle works, we should just wait for you guys (the pros) to build it into the Win10PESE project?

And one more thing: If it works, do you understand how they did it?
It would be interesting to know what the special new "discovery" is? Thanks!

Yes, it works by creating the KnownDlls32 kernel object and linking it against X:\Windows\SysWow64 folder.
It pretty much does what smss.exe does, if it's running in normal mode, not winpe.

However it's not complete, ThinApp packages can still not run (main reason I stuck with Win7PE, where I can patch smss.exe).

Just take the files list from Win8.1PESE SysWow64 folder and copy yourself the required files from install.wim to your PE.

WOW64 is OK(by yamingw from China)
Good news, Great  :great:
Thanks a lot yamingw   :worship:

Thanks for the clear explanations JFX
In addition to Win8.1SE SysWow64 files, we are left to find others needed Win10 dependencies, catalog, windows.storage.dll,...

Well, given Chris' positive reaction to this new development, I'm sure he will try to include it in Win10PESE now.
Just give him some time...

I'm as impatient as you, maybe he'll have some test versions for us soon, so we can check the dependencies he's talking about.

Thanks again to all the developers....

Seems Opera 12 very old. I try with Chrome.
- Chrome 32 bit: It work ok on 10PEx32
- Chrome 64 bit: Not work
Any body can make scripts for chrome 64bit & Teamview 10?
Waiting...

I  built win10pese based on 20151010 build. The graphic problem has aggravated. Previous versions, at least, I used to get 1366x768 after some time as graphics driver was loaded after desktop was loaded. But now it has loaded graphics driver for intel hd4000. But it could not give resolution of 1366x768. It stays at 800x600.

Today I tried 14/10. It builds iso and boots.
But it has two problems.
Though there are exported drivers,
1) Wifi device(mine intel 7260ac) is not visible in PE network.
2) Graphics still I get only basic not my Intel HD4000. I could get the driver loaded by drvload and get graphics resolution.

At least in 11sep, version was ok in these respects.

Request
To see drivers are loaded before desktop appears.

Build went OK, but in Hyper-V On Win 10 1511 Gen 2 VM there is no network and quite few devices are without drivers.

Anybody any ideas?

Using release, had to remake the iso with:

- network checked (first try was without)
- hwpnp with wpeinit checked

Now network works in PENetwork. But still quite few VMBUS\****** devices are missing drivers
