I second this question - it is somehow annoying, especially on a notebook which does not even have a CD drive, like mine.

Hi

Until "fuwi" updates his great "Classic Shell" plugin, you can use a small workaround to disable the "Eject CD" dialogue. Fuwi's script will first call a small program named "exitwpe" to initialize the shutdown or reboot. This small program will eject the CD first and then call either "wpeutil reboot" or "wpeutil shutdown" depending on whether reboot or shutdown is called. As a temporary workaround, you can edit the script to directly call "wpeutil" bypassing "exitwpe". Please check the attachment for modified script.

( I hope that fuwi won't kick my butt

I can get along without Classic Shell altogether, so now that I know the Eject CD dialogue comes from it (by the way, in mixed languages), I might just build without it.

Ahh, now I remember why I was confused... I don't use ClassicStartmenu in PE either (have to admit I missed that this was about ClassicShell to begin with).
I do use it in normal Windows 8/8.1 (love it, actually), just for PE I don't really need it because StartIsBack is good enough for me and saves a bit of boot.wim space. (I mostly use [Auto-]hotkeys in PE anyway instead of a start menu, partly because that frees me from some of those awkward mousepads on laptops I'm not used to, I always accidentally tap on things I'm not supposed to).

New Version 14 of "Classic Shell" plugin with an option to enable/disable the ejecting of CD/DVD at Shut Down or Restart.
