If I understood you correctly,

you want redirection std. temp Folder,
boot winpe, open cmd, type set + Enter,
you will see a series of env variables,
among others you will find TEMP or/and TMP,
if you type TEMP=R:\TEMP + Enter > will change value.

Now you just make some script / cmd to make the change after boot or before running a particular program.

Depending on which project you use to create winpe, it may have an option to change "default TEMP".

I have done this many times, the portable application still has a temporary file in the TEMP folder on the (X:) Boot drive, I want to move it to the virtual drive that IMDISK has created by default R: \ TEMP.

Because the App's portable configuration is (hardcoded) that way - you need to be looking at the Apps configuration files

THANKS,
The application is created by WinRar, a temporary file directory named RarSfx0.

Aha, when you create a selfextract (sfx), you define where it will be unpacked,
now is probably defined X:\Temp or how it is.

You need to change it to: %Temp%

To avoid confusion, this is done when creating sfx.

The software in winpe I only do some applications, the rest is downloaded from the homepage, for example HWmonitor software, HWinFO I have tried to run in a different winpe with any application, it works well, I have used SET TEMP PATH, it works fine, have its CODE auto SET PATH directory R: \ TEMP is very good.

It's time to lern something new, it's not to complicated.

Unpack that archive somewhere,
here are instructions on how to create a new one > https://www.isunshare.com/blog/how-to-create-sfx-archive-with-winrar-and-7zip/
pay attention to "Advanced SFX options",
finish it and you solved the problem.
