I'm sure there should be a script for it that someone has done. But no such script is provided with Gena or Win7PE SE or on the Yomi server. No real reason other than that there's the XnView script.

It shouldn't be a hard program to get working on a PE though.

Galapo.

Yep, I use XnView under PE (when it's needed, which is fairly rare).

Otherwise I've been using ACDSee for years. It would be impossible to get it running under PE, and no real need when XnView does a good job.

Galapo.

Hi Galapo,

I was using AcdSee too (from v2 to v8, I have v1 on one of my old cd ;)), in some last years I switch to xnview and carry a xnview (small) mobile with me around ;) (verrry easy to install & use on new computer, and quite small to carry around)

:ymca:

If I was using it purely as a viewer, then I would be using XnView. But I use it for managing a photo catalogue and so forth. When I needed to set that up, XnView didn't work as I wanted. It may have improved in that regard, but I haven't tested it in that way.

Regards,
Galapo.

I agree, when you get used to how to make things with applications, you can not change ;)
I was also a fan on ACDSee in long term, was using for many purposes, but time changed, I changed......

With "used to" excuse ;)  , I use FSCapture for its arrows, HyperSnap to edit pictures with some features,
and xnview to me leave as a general purpose viewer... which I do not use any management purpose (I changed) ....
-> I do not have any photo catalogue task

I like xnview because it is freeware, "runs portable" and "install quickly" together ( I just copy to C:\Program Files\XnView and make associations from settings) + small

Well it is all about what you are after

I will give this  XnView a try. I am use to Irfanview is why I ask and yes Lancelot, I may just create one now I am a PE Master!!  :rolf: I only use a picture viewing program if a person has lost data or needs a reload due to virus and I can't get into their Windows, I will use my new Gena to boot into the PC and recovery data or to reload so sometimes I have to view pics to make sure I got what they may be asking for.  :celebrate:
