I found an interesting situation in which a 64-bit PE build seems required.

We bought several Dell E4200 laptops with 64GB SSDs and Win7 Pro x64. The disks are too small. So we're replacing them with 128GB SSDs. I use Ghost to make an image of the old disk and transfer it to the new disk. The result fails to boot.

The BCD is in a small restore partition rather than the main partition.

Windows 7 Restore Disk x64 won't fix it. MS-DART 6.5 x64 won't fix it.  Win7PE x86 won't fix it. But fire up Win7PE x64 and run MS Recovery TOols | Startup Repair (Win7) and it's fixed immediately.

I ..... understand now   I Think

@ John I had same problem on a WD 1T ghosted drive, I only build x64 builds and I also found Dart 6.5 would not work
Thanks for confirming this

Dart has same files , as 64bit PE , for startup recovery . it basically does not make any sense. but still , there might be some difference , when you applied both ./?
