At old times It was always fun to me working on smaller smaller smaller
...until your girlfriend told you to stop, and use "fully uninflated" from then on. Mine even asked if there were tools to set compression to a negative value... :embarrassed:

Atari800xl

Only mini addition (since usually forgotten by new starters)
 Finals\"PostConfig" -> Compression -> Maximum   :great:
  would get .wim smaller

Although it requires some time, At old times It was always fun to me working on smaller smaller smaller

:turtle:
Lancelot, maybe it's a bit late (had to get back to work on my real job), but I wanted to thank you for this tip.
To be honest, I didn't know that a smaller boot.wim means more free memory. I always thought the .wim was somehow expanded after boot, so it didn't matter if it was compressed "normal" or "high". But after testing it turns out it does mean more free memory, so thanks for pointing this out. Those extra 15mb mean a lot on my nice testlaptop!
I also finally switched to "use extracted wims". For me there was a misunderstandig here as well, because I didn't really understand that with extracted wims, you *still* need (in my case) the mounted iso as source. So it's not "source iso *or* extracted wims", but "source iso *and* extracted wims".
Oh well, I'm learning a little every day.
So now I have faster building speed and more free RAM. Great for testing more stuff!
Thanks again!

Hi Atari800xl,

I am glad things get even better for you

....So it's not "source iso *or* mounted wims", but "source iso *and* mounted wims".
Well, I could not understand  even being the idea behind me  ,
such simple thing can't be written more complex I guess

Shortly: instead of mounting/unmounting wims, wims extracted by this plugin, that is all.

Organisation made To keep things tidy: just copy iso content to a folder (ex: D:\Source_Win81x64) , and use "Extract Wim Folders"  plugin .....

In addition:
when you update project (ground zero ;) )  and already have extracted wim source folder (ex: D:\Source_Win81x64) ,
on "Extract Wim Folders"  plugin follow 'User Previously Prepared' steps.

See You around

Hi Lancelot, I was writing my previous message yesterday in a hurry, and made another stupid mistake. I was trying to say "extracted wims", but I said "mounted wims"...
Sorry about that, it made it very confusing for you. I edited my message...
I'm just a little bit too busy at the moment, and was writing the message in my coffee break. I guess it was written in too much of a hurry, sorry about that, I just wanted to say thanks!

Well Lancelot, this is turning into a private discussion, but I guess that's OK, because this was a "praise Chris" topic anyway, now it's also a "praise Lancelot" topic... Thank you for always being patient, and always being... well, "around". You're always there to help when people have questions, and that's very nice, because TheOven is really quite a small forum anyway. I never really understand why there are not (meny) more people interested in these projects...

Good luck with your dental appointment, hope your smile will be even prettier
