Hi anshad,

hopefully, now disk management on small core (2k3 - noneXPx86) fixed
 (although we don't use it ;) )
   mmc plugin updated

Some extra info:

Further, although we don't have trouble on 2k3,
disk alive trouble on XP seems to be a windows client behaviour

besides gavotte, vdk also don't work, well since we don't use xp anymore, just some info

See You

Hi Lancelot

I just tested the new MMC script with 2003SP2 and now i can create new partitions without the "Volume is not enabled" message ( small core build ). Great job . Also i tested my Gena with new beta DPS integrated on a 9 series chipset ( Intel latest )  based Core i5 PC and it recognized the internal HDD ( AHCI mode ) without issues .

New updates seems to introduced a new bug. Now every single time, Gena wanted to update "Macro Library" script even though i have the latest . If net is connected, it will download the script and continues. Otherwise the build will be simply halted.

Thanks for the Great News

Further, maybe 2k3 disk.sys may work on XP better if we add vds of 2k3 ;)
well to me just and idea, I lost my interest to xp32 too many years ago before vista

Hi anshad, JFX,

I put 2 experimental plugins to server,
vds ----> to test vds on xp, I don't know if any use, just an experimental idea ;)
vss ----> well as far as I know vss did not work nice on Gena ;) well, to test an app that requires vss it is there to test and maybe to improve (JFX ;)).

both plugins have test checkbox to test things easier ,

have nice experiments

See You

Hi,

May accidentally found w2k3 mount drive behaviour setting,
w2k3 put RunOnce - NoAutoMount key

Added options to
\Components\Tweaks\'Other Tweaks' plugin
to delete NoAutoMount key
also
mountmgr.sys service NoAutoMount value set to 0

Hopefully it will help more to automount on 2k3 build

Here is another interesting test for you,
put "Gavotte RamDisk" to \Drivers\5 Ramdisk\
+
See if this helps getting rid of "Partition not enabled" error on your XP builds (crossing fingers) ???
+
maybe !!! helps on automount XP builds (maybee.....)

'SoftPerfect Ramdisk' plugin on servers:

http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=1203.msg21422#msg21422

May give more clue why HardDisk emulation do not work with Gavotte,
If someone get 'SoftPerfect Ramdisk' "HardDisk Emulation" operational.

Anyway, now there is a ready working plugin on servers one can easily test with...
