Hello there,

i ve created four different Windows Live Iso Files with Winbuilder, and i like to get them together, given me the Choice to select which OS to start.

What i did is:

Built 1 Win 7 Iso, 64 bit
Built 2 Win 10 Iso, in the both Architectures 32bit and 64bit
Collect the correspondending WIM Files and put into a new Winbuilder Folder.

Here i put the Settings for a Win 7 32bit and enabled the Multi-Wim Option.
The other WIM Files are set into it properly.

Once the ISO is created, it pops up the Choice Dialog for just a Piece of Second, and soon after it, it starts the Windows 7 32bit.

I tried different Settings:
"Image Configuration" set "Auto" and "Multi-Wim" set "WinBCD Menu", Timeout 30 secs
"Image Configuration" set "Standard" and "Multi-Wim" set "WinBCD Menu", Timeout 30 secs
"Image Configuration" set "BCDW" and "Multi-Wim" set "WinBCD Menu", Timeout 30 secs

Finally i switched:
"Image Configuration" set "Grub4Dos" and "Multi-Wim" set "Grub4Dos Menu", Timeout 30 secs.

The same Behavior was the Result. The Choice Dialogue is just available for a Piece of Second and it starts the Windows 7 32bit.

Additional i had tried out all Setting above listet with given 60 secs Timeout, hopefully beein able to act on the Screen, but it had no Effect. I still get the same Result.

What causes this and how can i fix it?

Thanks in Advance and best Regards from Germany

ok, meanwhile i found another Thing, that might help finding the Problem.

As i created the Multi-Win Iso File in the "Grub4Dos" Mode, there was created a "menu.lst" File.
I opened this manually and found "Timeout 1", i had set to 30 secs though.

So here it seems to be the Problem. No matter what Timeout i do define, it seems, it keeps written in 1 Second.

I had edited the "menu.lst" File manually and put back to the ISO and started from it. It worked perfect.

But it is with the Grub4Dos Menu, and i want to have it in the Windows Menu, which i get, if i set it to "WinBCD-Menu".
This creates a "BootMGR" File, and i am sure, there is again the Timeout set to 1 sec. But i am not able to open a BootMGR File to edit, .....or is there a Way?

Hello again,

i found and fixed it.

The needed Setting for the Timeout of the Choice-Dialogue is NOT in the "Multi-Wim" Section to do, it is in the "Create ISO".

In this Form again is an Option to define the Timeout for Grub4Dos and/or BCD Menus. This is the decisive Setting.

The Timeout on the "Multi-Wim" gets ignored, no matter, what is set there.

So thanks though and best Regards from Germany
