This looks promising, obviously (only recently to me) Win10PESE already boots fairly well on most modern Apple computers.  When using Win10PESE as the base of a repair or technicians USB cross-compatibility comes in handy   Since I don't see any development currently in this arena I figured I will throw the first stone..

More than expected works OOB..

Below is a direct download link to Apple BootCamp 6 - Windows Support Software - If you download the .EXE file and extract with 7Zip or WinRAR you can cherry pick any drivers you'd like to make your PE more compatible with Apple computersThere are drivers for ALL versions 7PESE/8PESE/10PESE included (x86/x64).  Personally the drivers that matter most to me are the HFS compatibility drivers for Windows Explorer, but I didn't see that one in here,  I will have a plugin I will post in this thread for native HFS/HFS+ soon. For now, to access HFS volumes, get the HFS Explorer plugin here: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=2322.0

WinPE(According to Apple) and Win7/8/10 driver pack for Apple compatibility: (BootCamp6Update Direct Download)
http://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/16/10/031-55711/ufi4c7o3x20i5ge93l2yu869yegn222i8l/AppleBcUpdate.exe<----Extract with 7Zip or WinRAR

There are packs of drivers per OS version for each type of device(e.g. wifi, lan, video). Once you pick the drivers you want for your version of WinPE you will be compatible with the following systems(but should also be able to use most newer systems as well):

  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)

Although I do not have any new plugins ready for this thread, it is not abandoned. Since newer macs will only boot to a Fat32 UEFI bootable partition, I am adding a link for instructions on USB creation below.

Create UEFI and Legacy bootable USB for ALL machines including Macs: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=2491.0

Here is a new easier to use tool, to burn an ISO to USB.  If your ISO meets the requirements, it should allow seamless booting on Apple hardware for PESE projects

Further research is now completed.  This is the easiest method for Apple driver compatibility.

Use Brigadier: https://github.com/timsutton/brigadier/releases - To download all Apple drivers for Win10PE

CMD Line Usage(to manually download drivers):
Code: [Select]
brigadier.exe --model=MacBookAir7,2
brigadier.exe --model=MacBookPro15,1
brigadier.exe --model=MacBookPro14,1
brigadier.exe --model=MacBookPro13,1
brigadier.exe --model=iMac18,3
brigadier.exe --model=iMac17,1
brigadier.exe --model=iMacPro1,1

By running all of the above commands you will get a downloaded copy of every modern Win10PE driver for all major Apple products.  Only the above listed models need to be selected as some of the drivers cover more than a single model. (For example, MacBookAir7,2 covers almost every apple product from 2010-2015)

Place the drivers you would like to integrate into the Driver Integration plugin.

Enjoy!
