I got Ultra Iso off of Gena-Sweets/Apps/CDVD.  It is a great program.
It runs great in Win8.1SE with run in ram, but not in run in CD. That
was the only program that I have that made PE hang on startup.  Does
anyone else use this program in run in CD?  Maybe someone can look
over the script to see what the problem is.  Thanks for the help.

Some programs requires to be run from a writable media so may not work  if CD is used. Have you tried running it from USB ?.

I don't know what functionality you need in PE, but I've used UltraISO for years in PE, all I need is the exe and a "uikey.ini". To my own surprise, I saw I'm still using 8.1.2.1625 (2006, size=923kb) in PE. Never had a single problem. (I'm using all my portable aps in PE from a mounted "q.iso", so always readonly)

Just did a test right now with 9.6.2.3059, 20140819 (1444kb). The same method seems to work: Just the exe and a uikey.ini.
So the problem must be with the extra functionality/ extra files. I'll try to do some more tests...

They packed a lot of things in this script, but you are right. I did notice that the Ultimate.DLCD.Boot.2014.v3.0.Final.rar
had updated WinIso with reg. inside. The only nice thing is he had a way of registering the product in PE form.   That way you
get full functioning out of the program.  Does the uikey.ini contain the registration inf? :confused:  Thanks for the help. :thumbsup:

Yes, sorry if I wasn't clear.
You only need ultraiso.exe and a 'uikey.ini' like this:
Code: [Select]
UserName='Your Name'
Registration='A0B0-C0D0-E0F0-1020'
(no, this one's not working).

Hi Atari800xl,

I know you love portables  :thumbsup: who doesn't  :wink: :lol:

Plugins and Portables have different advantages (we can discuss elsewhere),
 one thing common, you need to make preparation if not out of box portable  :cool:

As Projects, we provide many plugins to help Portable usage  :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
 (You may not believe but I write some of them for that goal)
Here Some of plugins in mind:
Portable Finder CMD   ----> You can find and mount your portable iso automatically at startup  :wink:
Thinstall Support
LODR-pack support
Portabilitron
PortableApps.com
PStart and Papps
Search Pstart
"Create ISO" -> 'Put Files for 'Root CD' here option

We can even open a section if you like,
 with a name as 'Portable Project' if you like to put share infos on converting an app to portable
   ex: Like an Ultraiso topic, giving instruction how to extract/prepare, add uikey.ini , etc...

But let's not convert a plugin discussion to a portable one  :wink:

it works OK here on Win7PESE,
 (I currently can't test with Win81SE)
  if you select "Run From CD" on plugin interface  :thumbsup:  :confused:

Maybe I am missing something

I tried running in Ram and CD and it stopped the Win8.1SE from loading.
I created another one from your Pack Script. Your Pack Script worked great. :great:

Hi Mark,

Since I can not test Win81SE, I need some help(s) (feedbacks),

on Galapo's UltraISO plugin, can you comment out this line and see if it is ok on Win81SE
Run,%ScriptFile%,ISODrive
-->
//Run,%ScriptFile%,ISODrive

??

:turtle:

It is unbelievable that taking out that [ISODrive] would make it work.  With that part in I would
expect the program not to work, but it made Win8.1SE not even load?  :thumbsup:
