Enhance a working 10 PE

Hi to everyone 

Following the start guide, I did my first working 10 PE  (it's very minimal, win10 CD size xD)

Lets say I want to enhance that.

For "basic repo" (10pe packages), I think I can just add what I want and then rebuild the whole thing (I keep a copy of my iso, just in case).
I think this apply also for "uninstall" (untick = uninstall ?)

Lets say I want also add some some programs in main one from the other great repos.
What are the right way to proceed?

I'd like to add, if not found (or older) in repos, some of .paf (portable programs) I currently use, so I can use them on PE also.

Final part, only if I manage the points above, I'd like to put in PE, the printer (I'll try the experimental package on forum), some registry modifications (the tweaks I use also on host, like the LM compatibility value) and some UI interface changes (classic explorer, dark theme, maybe aero glass).

But for now, I'm more for "completing" the PE than breaking it

After first PE is built from %sourcedir% can be used "the new" version to reduce the building time or you should always start from the beginning? (it's not a real problem, just a curiosity)

Ok, pretty much did everything and the project is more coherent now. 

Only unsure about some things yet:

1) Themes: I copy custom .msstyles in plugin and rename it to aero.*
How to apply uxtheme? I don't need .theme related file?
Should I manual patch files (shell32 and uxtheme) and drop it in additional folder plugin?

2) Loading reg tweaks: I've some on pc I'd like to put on PE; how?

3) Load programs at startup (as startup and/or task scheduler). Probably autorun plugin?

There is a super universal solution, with CTRL+F (Control F) you can quickly check if your Question exists

2- insert reg tweaks to windows which installed to a pc

1 - replied at FAQ, simply create plugin (RegCPE)
2 - load hives of windows on disk
one can easily figure out (a PE user should already)
and there already an available plugin

At Virtual Test there are emulator plugins available to test final.
     VMware Player and Virtual Box are free emulators to test with.


On Projects:
First Check Project Main Plugin/Screen, There you will find basic instructions to start building projects.
 Take a look at all plugins, sometimes all you need is enable a plugin for a feature or application,
 Plugins also provide lots of options, sometimes links also exists that gives more info...
  Although you will figure out some of them easly, some not easly, you will get the big picture

I do not play with themes,
 Check instructions of Themes plugin an related topics,
   You do not need to ask, you can make numerous Virtual Test first easily and a quick google search on forum will help.

Of course I'm testing already the ISOs with Vmware, and it's becoming very customized

Tested with usb boot, and it works well - I was pretty sure about that.
Only a complaint about recycle bins, but they're a messed up on host (no pe issue)

I'll test a custom driver .inf for my monitor put in additional files (it works in uncommon resolution, usually 1600x900).

The build process is often without errors (some warnings, but very secondary)
