Take the latest update on Server with Wow64, I just added ServiWin also and other stuff.
Use "Utils\Update Win10PE SE (Exact and Secure)" to be safe.

Then use ServiWin to see services (F8) and drivers (F7), right click properties
How is the NativeWifi driver (nwifi.sys) started, stop ?
Also, order by group and look at NDIS group drivers.

I've performed the update and built my Win10PE SE from an x64 source. The WiFi problem has gone. But all other things are bad. Many programs that worked normally in the x86 build failed to start under the x64 PE environment, e.g. Firefox, Chrome, Vitoria, Opera and some others.

So I made a new x86 Win10PE after downloading the latest scripts, but the problem still persists. The NativeWifi state is stopped and it doesn't start when I try to launch it manually via ServiWin.

Summing up, there's some difference between x86 and x64 PE builds.
By the way, I use only English source for far.

Hooray, I fixed it!
Two changes  were made:
1) Changed the DonNet File Copy option form "4.0/4.5 Core" to "4.0/4.5"
2) Built the project using extracted Wim folders.

Now WiFi works fine and the Native WiFi filter driver is started.

I changed the .DotNet option in the ".Net Framework" script and also used Utils\Extract Wim Folders script to unpack the WIM files from source.

I can confirm the problems with starting wlansvc in virtual machine with USB wlan stick used.
@Chris: you said, that wlansvc works for you.
Do you maybe use the english iso version of Windows 10?
If 'yes' maybe it is a MUI files problem.
I use Win10Pro FR but I have also tried with the English version.

I don't know much, for sure Holger, you know better.
WFPLWFS is stopped here also, and I have the same message "A device...", if I try to start it.
The registry seems to be there, I do not know what's missing .
but, Here, it does not prevents NativewifiP and Wlansvc service to run!

".Net Framework" is not on win10se server.
Do you speak of the one of Win8.1SE used in win10pe ?
What is the connection with WLAN ?

Yes, I use .Net from Win8.1SE in my Win10PE project.
I guess, it has no association with WLAN. Mentioned about it just in case.

So, with a full copy it even didn't work.

BUT, if i installed the service manually from commandline it did work:
netcfg -v -c s -i MS_NativeWifiP

After that I could start the NativeWiFiP service and also wlansvc successfully (wfplwfs still not work, seems not needed)
So, in PENM I check if the service is installed and started.
It seems something small is missing here in registry.

So, in your case,  the "extracted Wim folders" is Probably related with the wifi, I guess  !!!

So probably good to launch "netcfg -v -c s -i MS_NativeWifiP" at startup, probably in Win10.cfg autorun section, what do you think about?
For wfplwfs, I have looked in the Install.wim registry and Win10 installed registry,
the keys seem to be there, they are copied from Install.wim System registry

Code: [Select]
ShellExecute,hide,%RegexeFolder%reg.exe,"Copy HKLM\Tmp_InsSystem\ControlSet001\Control\Network\{4d36e974-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\{3BFD7820-D65C-4C1B-9FEA-983A019639EA} HKLM\Tmp_System\ControlSet001\Control\Network\{4d36e974-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\{3BFD7820-D65C-4C1B-9FEA-983A019639EA} /s /f"
ShellExecute,hide,%RegexeFolder%reg.exe,"Copy HKLM\Tmp_InsSystem\ControlSet001\Control\Network\{4d36e974-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\{B70D6460-3635-4D42-B866-B8AB1A24454C} HKLM\Tmp_System\ControlSet001\Control\Network\{4d36e974-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\{B70D6460-3635-4D42-B866-B8AB1A24454C} /s /f"
If,%SourceArch%,Equal,x64,ShellExecute,hide,%RegexeFolder%reg.exe,"Copy HKLM\Tmp_InsSystem\ControlSet001\Control\Network\{4d36e974-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\{E7C3B2F0-F3C5-48DF-AF2B-10FED6D72E7A} HKLM\Tmp_System\ControlSet001\Control\Network\{4d36e974-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\{E7C3B2F0-F3C5-48DF-AF2B-10FED6D72E7A} /s /f"
ShellExecute,hide,%RegexeFolder%reg.exe,"Copy HKLM\Tmp_InsSystem\ControlSet001\Services\WFPLWFS HKLM\Tmp_System\ControlSet001\Services\WFPLWFS /s /f"

but it doesn't start, I swim

I added the following things manually to the registry and after that both services (nativewifip, wlanscv) could be started ("CoServices" in 2nd key means MULTI_REG and "NativeWifiP"):
Code: [Select]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NativeWifiP\Parameters]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\{4d36e974-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\{E475CF9A-60CD-4439-A75F-0079CE0E18A1}\Ndi]
"CoServices"=hex(7):4e,00,61,00,74,00,69,00,76,00,65,00,57,00,69,00,66,00,69,\
   00,50,00,00,00,00,00
"HelpText"=""
"FilterClass"="ms_medium_converter_top"
"FilterType"=dword:00000002
"FilterRunType"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkSetup2\Filters\{E475CF9A-60CD-4439-A75F-0079CE0E18A1}\Kernel]
"FilterClass"="ms_medium_converter_top"

I think there is still something missing..
The 2nd try it does not work. :confused:
Maybe the order is important.
Next try...

No, was correct...user error...wrong input ("FilterClass" <> "FilterType")  :cool:
And it seems for working only the key(s) to the 'NetworkSetup2' has to be added:
Code: [Select]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkSetup2\Filters\{E475CF9A-60CD-4439-A75F-0079CE0E18A1}\Kernel]
"FilterClass"="ms_medium_converter_top"

The same is for service "WFPLWFS".
The 'NetworkSetup2' key seems to very important for these actions.
If you add these 2 values (lower/upper filter) to this the service can also be started (best compare with original Win10 - don't have it here at the moment...later only):
Code: [Select]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkSetup2\Filters\{3BFD7820-D65C-4C1B-9FEA-983A019639EA}\Kernel]
"FilterClass"="ms_medium_converter_top"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\NetworkSetup2\Filters\{B70D6460-3635-4D42-B866-B8AB1A24454C}\Kernel]
"FilterClass"="ms_medium_converter_top"
Maybe it is also depends on the device...
If these keys are the only needed one I can only check later cause I don't have this wifi device here...

Greets Holger

I just try with the 3 keys added.
WFPLWFS service works now and that sounds great for both NativeWifiP > Wlansvc services :great:
Here is the updated plugin:

* Network.7z (100.33 kB - downloaded 131 times.)

You're absolutely right, I have not figured out icons yet.

Tried AdditionalOptions
Do use smileys,
DONT use smileys,

and right now, I tried your example of ":great:" and in preview mode STILL looks like text.

Posting it now to test ...

Thanks Lancelot ! It works. Doesn't show in preview. I did check FAQs earlier today, but nothing about getting smileyfaces to work. There was hint that a minimum number of posts was required, but didn't see that documented anywhere.

I was thisclose  to asking Holger how he did it ...

On forum when you hit "Reply" button,

there is avatars available  :xmas-beer:

ila_rendered

!?

you "should" need to do is click the icon of the smiley you want in the toolbar (where all the formatting for the message is) and it inserts it in the post - just same as clicking bold or anything else
