Since 4.6.1 ABU can use same Setup.exe and the Program Files are the same for both Standard Free Version and Pro Version

Just a reminder:
I only test with Basic build http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=1876.0
and Aomi fails with UI error to check Crash.dmp at log and above error I see at Aomei sub folder  \logs\...

I tested with Windows 10 and no error backup successful . It should work from Windows 7-10.
Are you using Windows 7-10? There are many files that use #2. Maybe Windows XP needs the #1.
Just a thought. I don't have testing for Windows XP.

I was seeing this same error on a minimized x86 XPE build where I was not needing network access. In XPE, simply running PENetwork.exe before starting ABU was enough to allow Backupper.exe to run, I have not had a chance to explore any further, but this may help.

A Basic Build do not have any network related things.

with SE\Components\Network plugin Aomei works fine now.

In XPE, simply running PENetwork.exe before starting ABU was enough to allow Backupper.exe to run

Maybe this will help others to help everyone...

I tested with Base (without Network Support) and PENetwork (PENetwork has no required additional Files)

You have to launch PENetwork.exe prior to ABU otherwise error message..

PENetwork when launched Writes Registry Settings... (I exported those Registry Setting) And just those Reg Settings Did Not fix error...

PENetwork also "Starts" two additional "Services"

SO, it appears ABU is looking for a started "SERVICE" to prevent this error

Now, we got to figure out what Service is required

AOMEI Backupper 4.6.2 is able to be controlled and managed as clients by AOMEI Centralized Backupper

Another Note:
If you launch ABU First and get error you continue to get error even after launching PENetwork..
You Have to launch PENetwork First

Now, we got to figure out what Service is required

so far, when such bad designed apps find required network files,
 they try to use them and fail and continue without service.

bad designed apps : I mean an image backup/restore app should have nothing to do with the internet or network service when starting. 

I am not a fan of aomei, further leaving finding requirements to others.

I'm using Windows 10 ver 1809 and AOMEI 4.6.3 with SE\Components\Network plugin and launched PENetwork.exe first then AOMEI

Integrate AOMEI Backupper into Custom PE

I get from AOMEI support team, but i'm not tested yet.

Then as explained in the doc from Jack's team, copy the three drivers into mounted windows\system32 and copy the program files as outlined in the doc.
