It appears you CAN use rufus for Legacy + UEFI

Press Alt+E to enable/disable this mode.

I have had formatting issues with this mode.  Rufus is still far more compatible than anything else out there, but I may still improve the CdUsb.y usbtool for a no option quick burn to USB..

Has anyone else had issues with compatibility on Legacy+UEFI with the new version?

Thank you for showing us this Rufus cheat code, I missed it.
I tested Alt-E (preserved between runs) to Enable dual BIOS+UEFI mode with Win10XPE_x64.ISO and FAT32 file system selected.
No compatibility or formatting issues here and I confirm that it starts well in both UEFI and legacy BIOS (CSM enabled).
No doubt, Rufus remains the best to create bootable USB flash drives

Yes it works with NTFS too though.  It creates a hidden Fat12 partition (approx 400kb) named UEFI_NTFS for UEFI + Legacy boot.

I just found out too

(My formatting issues were only on USB drives that had data w/multiple partitions.  I used Diskpart or Disk Management to format the drives to a single partition before using Rufus, this corrected the problem)

Just paying it forward, someone showed me, and I share everything I know
Keep in mind, if you use CdUsb.Y you can boot into Macs while still having a NTFS partition for larger than 4gb files if you use my usbtool.exe - But with Rufus you will have to choose FAT32 to be able to boot WinPE on Macs and cannot have files larger than 4gb on your USB.

I just tested the Dual Boot with the NTFS file system.
Unfortunately with NTFS, it does not support secure boot. Not usable here, the Secured boot is obligatorily ON with UEFI.
The Dual Boot BIOS+UEFI remains good with FAT32.

Yea thats why I have been working on the USBtool.exe referenced above.. However I have been lucky to be able to turn off secure boot with everything I have come across so far..

I want to make it hide and flip partitions so only the data partition can be seen and possibly with a shortcut to flip back and forth between partitions (hide/unhide) on the root of each..

it's been a request from a few for a long time but to quote the author

Commandline is very low priority, because I'm afraid this is not a feature that will help the vast majority of Rufus users

As I remember yes it is,
in Win7PESE and Win10PESE projects accept correctly iso location ...
Despite this I use version 3.5 for the better "BIOS + UEFI" compatibility.

I told you, laughter is key these days
